Re: Money where your mouth is time
Not many giving Chiefs a chance of a home semi this year (Saracens will comfortably top the league, so its pointless discussing 1st place).
Certainly I think it'll be between Wasps and Chiefs for 2nd spot. Tigers to finish 4th and lose to Sarries in the semi-final (don't worry though, Tigers are in 'transition').
Who will take the drop is an interesting one. It'll be between Worcester and Falcons I think.

Re: Money where your mouth is time
Earlier on this year a number of us boldly put our predictions on the forum as to which team would finish where. I have analysed these predictions by comparing each prediction with where the team actually finished. I gave 5 points for an exact match, and 1 point foe being within 1 place of actual. Congratulations Jeremy Anderson, a clear winner and psychic wonder.
The results are:
Jeremy Anderson 24 points
g 19
cardifftig 16
ads 16
Strawclearer 14
darganj 14
jackflashjohnny 14
kerlmat 12
bigchris 11
kingneptunii 10
Kitch27 9
philb 8
ourla 5
biffer 3
Ellis9 2 (I don't think he or she took it seriously)
I must find better ways to use my time!!

I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

Re: Money where your mouth is time
I'm happy with joint 3rd, although I do think the results table should be listed alphabetically......
Re: Money where your mouth is time
I got the top 4 pretty much right and Quins/Saints/Bath in that mid-table but got Sale and Bristol badly wrong. The neck out on Gloucester not quite right but they did have a poor season.ourla wrote:Saracens - no reason why they can't continue to dominate for another season
Wasps - if all the big names can gel with the current set up they will be bang there
Leicester
Exeter
Sale - expecting them to have another good season - made some good signings and are a consistent outfit
Northampton - expecting them to struggle again at times
Quins - not sure but they still have plenty of quality on their day
Bristol - expect them to be competitive
Bath - hard to see how they can be expected to be up there given all the upheavel
Worcester - should be OK
Newcastle - will be battling at the basement again
Gloucester - I just have the feeling they will implode - neck firmly out

Re: Money where your mouth is time
Don't really see how anyone can be speculating at this moment in time, we need to wait to see if any more signings, because at the moment a couple of injuries to our centres and we don't really have a 3/4 line!
Re: Money where your mouth is time
What's the betting it will be London Irish or Worcester to go down next season?

Re: Money where your mouth is time
Deep breath....
Saracens - they will pull out all the stops to get a home semi this time
Wasps - still investing, over the season too much class to not be close to the top
Exeter - the spirit and cohesion is so strong they'll do well again (but teams will be working extra hard to find their weak spots)
Leicester - closer to the top 3 this time, but more class in back row needed to get to the next level
Bath - 5-7 is going to be tight, but Freddie B will edge it over the season for them!
Sale - I think they'd see this as a good season...
Quins - the usual curate's egg is on the menu
Newcastle - plastic advantage will keep them out of danger
Northampton - Picamole-less + moribund coach = even lower morale....a seriously nervy season ahead
Worcester - no idea why (I just can't picture Worcs anywhere else in the table)
London Irish - probably a better squad than Worcs and more spirit than Saints, but will be happy with this in 1st season back Gloucester - have been in a sorry state for some time, and I've just got a feeling that a melt-down is coming at some point
