New pitch for Ospreys game

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
Tigers would have always played a 2nd string team against Nottingham, Plus also being originally a 5 oclock kick off, would have meant the attendance would be very low , As far as tigers are concerned the ospreys is the box office game of the day, so would have never have been moved

The new stand is getting 'branded' this morning.
The webcam is showing the Nottingham Building Society signage going up....

The only 'green' in sight

Lots more activity too, not just the signage.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

I think the next move might be to plant potatoes. Nice sandy soil; they should get a good crop

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
With the drainage system I would expect organic crop rotation to follow. The green, red and white would be brassicas, bean flowers and potato flowers then!Noggs wrote:I think the next move might be to plant potatoes. Nice sandy soil; they should get a good crop
A visit to WR would then be only marginally better than one to Franklins Gardens, albeit a real garden.

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
It is evident from the webcam that Nottingham Building Society is now heading downhill
Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
The only thing growing on the pitch is the number of tractors 5 at present but they are off loading material in the north - west corner & transporting it to the east stand out of shot. Is this the turfing start?Noggs wrote:I think the next move might be to plant potatoes. Nice sandy soil; they should get a good crop

Apparently, they really are planting potatoes at the Rec. Well - it gives them something to pick up at the end of the season!Noggs wrote:I think the next move might be to plant potatoes. Nice sandy soil; they should get a good crop

As an ex Marketing person (I know 100 ways to make love but I don't know any women!), I can't believe Nottingham Building Society are laying themselves open to taunts of 'NBS on the slide'!fentiger wrote:It is evident from the webcam that Nottingham Building Society is now heading downhill

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
Clearly, as NBS moves to the right it goes downhill....
Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
We cam moved back again, probably to avoid seeing NBS slide!

Maire88; as a railway employee I am reasonably confident that if you have booked tickets in advance most can be refunded if you get them back before the date you were due to travel either to the station booking office or online however you did it.ellis9 wrote:Well Ospreys are the bigger draw. They will attract more fans than Nottingham will. Whether you and other Nottingham fans agree is irrelevant.
As to the fatuous comment by the strange poster above, ignore it. He speaks for no-one. In his world everything Tigers do is perfect and may not be criticised. He is to kind relationships what a combine harvester would be to a bag of crisps.

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
Do we really think that we will have a new pitch in 14 days time. Looks as if the surface is still being worked on. Ospreys at Oval park?
