I'd agree you need a big ball carrier but do they have to play No8? There seem to fewer scrums these days where the No8 can make an impact from the set-piece. In which case there are a number of players in the Tigers squad who can take the ball carrier role.

Kieran Reid is a good bit more than just a big ball carrier! I agree with some of the other posters, I'm not sure we need a big ball carrying 8, especially if he doesn't bring any other skill to the party.

I was being sarcastic and maybe making a little comment at those who complain about our signings! For the record, getting Reid would be up there with Loti, Stransky and Josh Kronfield..
