Mobile Crane on the move?

Post by tigercaspian »

Unoffy thoughts that he may be on the move? Or does 2+2 = 5?

Wasn't there a strong runour that he is joining Bristol to spearhead their AP season?

AIRC he took a sizeable pay cut during his last contract award so he might well be looking for someone for whom he will be more valuable.
I've always tried to defend Jordan when he comes under fire on this board. It's not always the headline grabbers that contribute the most over a game or over a season. Very few AP eights can control the ball at the base of the scrum as well as he can.
On another note, I wonder if they're incorporating a car wash in the plans for the Granby Halls wedge?

No one can doubt the service he has given to the club. The frustration for me was a few years ago when playing for the Saxons when he turned into this off loading ball player, but as soon as he was back at Leicester he returned to type. Maybe he was playing to instructions

Will be a shame, was limited but gave he all, and is prob the safest 8 in the prem. Excellent footballer.

How many 8's can say they kicked there team to a European final.

Deserves a nice pay day.

Fissler says "Expect confirmation today of a story I broke in @TheRugbyPaper a few weeks ago Jordan Crane is moving from Leicester Tigers to Bristol."

I guess if we get Genge in return, that's a good deal - and if Genge gives us half the loyalty and commitment JC did, we'll be very fortunate!

Hope this signals that an all-round deal has been struck over Crane's testimonial year and Genge signing for us.

I'll echo what I said in the other thread. Good luck to a Tigers stalwart. He's done us proud in his time here.

Only reason I am happy with the move is that we will no longer have the Crane good or bad debates which had grown tiresome.

I expect he will be rejuvenated by the move. It's easy to get stale and not realise it.

And when he does, I'll look forward to the "should never have got rid of Crane" posts :smt023

I note the announcement says he is "set to join in the summer..." rather than "will join..."
Of course, Bristol will beat Donny in the Championship final and, at long last, rejoin the Premiership but...if they don't..?

Best of luck to him. Undoubtedly a fantastic servant of the club and could never be faulted for his commitment and dedication to the cause.
Don't think the injury at a key juncture helped him develop. Will certainly be missed, particularly when it's miserable and wet and muddy and we need to play a tighter game.
