Tigers v Sarries - Saturday 21st May at 12-30

Post by Kjay »

BT have stated that the Sarries v Tigers match is the first Semi to be played. With coverage starting at mid day, which would suggest a kick off of around 12:30 or 12:45.

Unfortunately wont be there - off to Jamaica for my 70th birthday so I hope that I can get RL on my computer or even BT. I really hope that they give everyone a week off - no training, just phsyio if needed, and get back a week on Monday fit and as fresh as they can be and focussed on the game to be played.

There's an air about the Tigers I like, young 'uns stepped up today and came close to turning over last years losing finalists at their place. Will be interesting as to how the sorries go next week, tough ask to play in Europe and then a massive game the following week.

Don't pack your suitcases for your holiday to Barnet yet, according to TRP league table Tigers are 5th behind Sale. Someone having a laff!

The Tigers know all about competing for two cups, but I bet they (Sarries) will find some excuse if they fail in either. As RC says, the attrition rate in Lyon may be enough for the Tigers to get to Twickers? Gusscott says that if the Tigers can reduce the inaccuracies then they can win. IMO it is the % of mistakes that sets the Sarries above the Tigers and the other sides in the Prem. Even when they do cock-it-up they have a good set of .get out of jail cards'.

Make no mistake! Sarries are an exceptional team and in my mind, are quite capable of doing the double (like Toulon a couple of years ago).
Tigers have it all to do - but as I've said elsewhere, it's a one-off semi-final, and anything's possible.

With the right company, you can make a weekend anywhere!
The company is my wife and daughter so it's open to interpretation!
Ive got parking at the ground (expensive at £24), then a (hopefully) quick drive into the smoke, and a hotel on the Saturday night.
Honestly, I found it easier to justify the expense by doing it this way; if it was just the game with a probable loss, I could't see the value.

I'm thinking of going to AP for the first time, I reckon we'll need every piece of support possible!

To those that have been before, what's the best way of getting there by car (£24 to park!!!) and train? Also are there any pubs in walking distance of the ground?

Cheers.

If you live near Leicester, just go on John Griffiths' away supporters club coach. Parking there or getting in on public transport is a right pain in the backside.

Not unexpectedly the bookies give us no chance.

Outright for to the Prem:

Sarries 10/11, Chiefs 7/2, Wasps 9/2, Tigers 7/1

Sarries are 4/11 to beat us, we are 13/5 (just above 5/2 in old money) to win at the Allianz.

Gotta say, if you were a neutral you'd probably view it that way too.
