I would go for the strongest possible side whilst also giving a few players some needed game time. There is no point resting players and then coming 5th. Hooker choice will be interesting, I would have Ghiraldini on the bench as when fully fit, I would prefer him to Bateman. No 8 is also up in the air, I just like the thought of Fonua coming on against a tiring team.

1. Logo 2. Thacker 3. Cole (first half) 4. Barrow
5. Slater 6. Croft 7. McCaffery 8. Crane 9. Youngs 10. Williams
11. Veainu 12. Smith 13. Betham 14. Goneva 15 Tait

16. Marcos 17. Ghiraldini 18. Balmain 19. Kitch 20. Fonua 21. Harrison, 22. Bell 23. Thompstone

I'd go Genge, Bateman and Cole in the front row with Ayerza, Ghiraldini and Logo to come on, a mix of experience and grunt.
Possibly a need for some strong ball carriers with Manu missing IMO whilst keeping the set piece effective.
Also didn't pull Racing's forwards in enough last week and BY struggled as a consequence.
I'd go for Thacker on the bench if he is fit instead of Fonua.
Slater or McCaffery can move to 8 if required.

If I remember rightly, Genge was due back to Bristol for the play offs which begin on Sunday.

That's a shame, didn't see much of him.

I'd assumed he was coming back on a permanent basis after the Championship play-offs and that Robinson didn't really want him back anyway - although I don't know what the issue was/is.

Bit of a mystery here, from his twitter account still seems to be with us. If so may see him in warm up Saturday if not selected.

From what I gather Bristol have the option to bring him back for the play offs should they need him i.e. Injuries etc

...and do we know what the problem with Robinson / Bristol was? At the time it seemed to read like he was 'getting out of Dodge'! :smt028

Lets pick an out and out 7 to win the breakdown

For me if Will Evans was good enough before give him another go so that McCaffrey can have a well deserved rest this week

We're at home, it's Worcester... Better to do it now than against Bath away

Do what we can to make sure of the play-offs this weekend. Don't take any opposition for granted. One thing you can be sure of is that Bath (all right, most teams) will raise their game against Tigers, especially if there is a chance of denying us the play-offs. Start with the best possible team this weekend.
I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

Strongest team possible for Sat. The Wuss put 35 pts on Wasps, so there is no room for complacency here! If there was any incentive to pee on the Tigers parade it is at WR this Sat. Dean's team maybe tired but they will be really up for it especially how close they came when the Tigers were at their gaff. Get the job done and then sit back at with a 'B' team at Bath and rest up for the play-offs. :smt027 :smt027

He liked 'a night out' apparently, not that we've had experience of that at Tigers - allegedly.
Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.
