Will Evans
Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned more (apologies if people have and I missed it) but what a debut...
He really looked to the manor born I was so impressed with him to look that good v Kvesic who himself had a great game is testament to him..finally a player to get excited about from the academy
Looks as though all we really need is an international class 8 as with him and O'Connor 7 is covered and with Williams and Croft 6 is well stacked too..

Re: Will Evans
Yes great debut but he's English so surely it would be better to bring in more journeymen SH players and let Will go and play for another club?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
Re: Will Evans
He did look very impressive, not least when running down a Gloucs attack in their 22 and winning a penalty for holding on at the subsequent ruck. I'm sure he would have been disappointed that there was no mention of him in the Academy or Development squads in the programme, so many were left scratching their heads on Saturday and saying Will Who?

Re: Will Evans
Be nice if people could praise our players rather than having little digs at the club. He looked a great prospect, you wouldn't have thought he was an academy player playing his first game. Not just one for the future, looks like he could do a good job now
Re: Will Evans
Can I just echo the praise heaped upon Evans for such a young lad he had a tremendous 50 minutes and fully deserved the acclamation he received when substituted. Obviously this shows that our Academy is doing it's job and everyone there should be congratulated.

Re: Will Evans
I agree, really think he deserves more praise than we are giving him. The way he sprung to his feet to win the penalty after making a good recovery tackle on Ben Morgan was top class.
Hopefully when theres some LV cup rugby next year we can see some more of this lad. What a prospect.

Re: Will Evans
I think he did get praise in the match discussion.
He can be justifiably proud of his début and hopefully we will be seeing him again soon.

Re: Will Evans
In fact - 11 out of the 19 players in the Development Squad don't have profiles. Come on Tigers - let's make them feel important to us!drc_007 wrote:+1strawclearer wrote:Be nice if his profile on the Tigers website could be properly filled in!

Totally agree Strawcleaner, until recently about 8 of the Senior team had no photographs or profiles and Gary Sherrard apparently advised they were waiting on the official RFU camera! Well as you said 11/19 from the Development squad BUT only 23 photos & profiles missing in the Academy squad, now didn't Jessops the photographers start in Leicester? Come on Tigers get your cameras out.....strawclearer wrote:In fact - 11 out of the 19 players in the Development Squad don't have profiles. Re: Will Evans
Could child/ young person protection etc have anything to do with non publication of missing photos?
