any truth in the van vuuren to bath rumour?

It would make sense. With Youngs, Thacker, Bateman and McGuigan all confirmed for next season there would appear to be little room for another hooker. We were lucky he was available (following the SA frnachise debacle) and he's done a decent job when required.

I got the impression that it was up to Genge to prove himself at Oval park this season, especially as now the stakes are very high, too high to risk anything too new as the season comes to a climax. Looks like a good prospect though.

Decent player, but would be prob 3rd/;TH choice, Bath seem to only have 1 hooker next season ATM.

Paul Grant confirmed on Nottingham website as leaving at end of the season; destination not noted

I'd be happy with him coming in this season, possibly on a 1 year deal to see how it goes, Perhaps we might get 1 more Magic Monday before seasons end

Fissler in TRP has Paul Grant leaving for NZ and not Tigers.

Also has Brizztol looking at buying out Crane of his contract and testimonial for spearheading their prem campaign. Sale also interested in him too.

I was aware that he is under contract for next season so no immediate threat to Tigers unless someone wants to buy him out of it. TBH my untrained best guess is that next year would be his last, if Brizztol offer top flight rugby with a 2-3yr deal and cover testim money, that would be hard to say no to.

Crane has said he wants to finish his career at Tigers so we will see.

Can't see him leaving unless we have someone lined up coming in.

The Grant thing could just be a gentle nudge from his agent to get his name in the press as being available! Odd for Fissler to mention the futures of 3 fairly well known AP players and a (virtually) unknown Kiwi!

Crane ----> Bristol if promoted.

My opinion is:
1 back row - for Pearce
1 centre - for Loamanu
1 wing / full back - for Morris
1 wing - for Benjamin
1 prop - Genge!! (Assume Tiz & brugnara are off - already have Cillers)
1 full back / fly half / kicker - For Bell
1 centre - for Bai
1 lock - for De Chaves

I think Evans will get promoted which will fill a place.

If Crane goes, we need an out and out 8. I think he's gone unfortunately, if Fonua is in before him, probes Slater & McCaffrey too, I think he'll go somewhere he can play, shame. Euro semi was a big safe pair of hands type game and they chose Fonua over Crane.

We seem to need a lot of new blood and all is very quiet on the transfer talks, I just hope the Morgan or Beaumont rumours start again!

Crane lacks the speed and power for the game Tigers are trying to play.
Not sure Fonua has the skills to go with his physical attributes.

Beaumont will def stay with Sale till end of his contract next season.

Would like to see some academy players brought up like for Example:
Odogwu for Benjamin
Worth for Bell
Milne for Pearce
Bryant for Bai

On top of confirmed
Cilliers for Aguero
McGuigan for Ghilrandini
Toomua for JDV
JPP for Goneva
Brady for Camacho

Would leave us needing IMO
