Well done to R Goneva (IMO) for his best performance of the season so far.
I for one wish him well for his move to Falcons.
IMHO he had been a little absent of late and the news obviously concentrated his mind this weekend.

However a good ambassador to the Tigers and Fiji.

We've been very fortunate to have his best years here. Very good player, wonderful Fijian mix of pace, power and trickery. He's served us well.

Thanks Niki and good luck!

A player that could have left for France in 2013/4 to cash in but who stuck with us. His impact should not be under-estimated… his try against Quins in the SF got us 'off the ropes' that day and led to the title in 2013. I'd bet he is our top try scorer in the last 5 years plus he was rarely injured.

And who can forget this attempted drop goal from halfway at WR? Top bloke!

Last year must have been quite tough for him with our style of player / limitations. I suspect he must have wondered if he should have gone to France. The only thing that frustrated me about him occasionally is I thought he could have looked after the ball better. Love his trickery and power running though.

I always felt his best games were with Toby Flood providing that late and subtle inside ball - which also made Cashton look good for England.

Niki's 32 tries from 78 appearances must rank him as one of the most potent scorers we have ever had, and hopefully his replacement will do as well, if not better!
I wish him continued good health, and success at Falcons, and I believe that he has a few more years left at the top.o

I don't think anyone who routinely posted speculation, inaccuracies or lies on here would have much credibility and wouldn't expect their subsequent postings to be read, believed or taken seriously. Personally I only post about matters I know to be true.

Yes a shame he is leaving, although already well known on here.

He prefers the firmer pitched certainly and Welford Rd is certainly poor presently, he should thrive on the 4G at Falcons.

I am however anticipating a good end to his career at Tigers and reckon he will be on good form until the season end. Just saw that glint in his eye again on Sunday!

Wish him the best of luck in the future yet another one that the club has let go regretfully, thank god we are getting Pietersen as a replacement.

Entirely understandable in the hard-headed world of modern professional rugby, but it is still always a shame to see top class players who've made a really significant contribution leave the club. He's been excellent for Leicester and scored a lot of tries, many of which took a great deal of finishing. Great for Fiji too. Will definitely be missed and best of luck to him at Newcastle - agree that I think he's still got a good couple of years left of scaring defences, particularly if he adapts well to the 4G.

I'm sure you mean that, in terms of cause and effect, we're releasing Niki because we've signed JPP - not that JPP has been signed because Niki is leaving. I doubt that we need to be thanking the Almighty that JPP is coming here!

(Hope I've got that the right way round - I always do my best proof-reading after I've hit the 'submit' button!)
