JDV injured i assume? There was rumors that he'd broken his nose last week?

Odd that Goneva is starting ahead of Veainu.

Maybe easing JDV back in more likely.

Sensible to give Veainu a rest. He's played fairly incessantly and starts to lose his impact and unpredictability if we over-work him. He'll be useful off the bench against tired legs in any case.

Great news if only to spare us from the tedious "see, we should never have got rid of him" whenever he touches the ball.

Surprised Thacker and Burns ahead of Ghiraldini and Williams.

I dont think either are 100% fit. Wouldnt be surprised if one or both is pulled from the bench before kick off.

For the amount of tries he's scored, I'd take the tedium of reminders...

Still a good Leicester side there.

I wonder if Cockers is kicking himself as hard for signing the elusive JDV as he is for letting the likes of Waldrom go?

Nothing from the Tigers as to why JDV is not even in the 23! Why am I even surprised.

I agree good news that TTTE is missing and looking at the two sides I reckon we should definitely win this, Exeter are missing some very good players, including Slade, Nowell, TTTE and LCD. Possibly others that I can't remember right now!

Given decent weather it should be an open game and hopefully a cracker.

Waldrom wouldn't work in our back row.

Don't get why he would be kicking himself for signing JDV?

TBH Armand Ewers and Salvi are going to be everywhere, and IMO are more dangerous than Waldrom being in there.

There's also no reason given why, for example, Matt Smith or Tom Youngs aren't in the 23. Why do you think the club needs to justify its team selection?

despite their missing players, that is still a good Chiefs side with a quick backrow. Tigers will need to be focused for the full 80 to get the spoils. Tigers to sneak it but 5pts its will be hard work.
