I'll take any sort of win to get us back on track.

I'm defniitely not expecting fireworks, we are on a poor run with several new faces and long term casualties gradually being integrated into the team so likley to be far far from a vintage tigers performance.

Pleased to see Kitto start although he will be targeted in defence.
Would like to have seen Pearce and Betham start. I can only assume Betham is injured, he's our second strongest strike runner and hasn't done much wrong.
I'm also hoping de villiers as a little more mobile than last week!

All eyes on the forwards and in particular the back row combination, as others have mentioned. IMO this is where we fallen short in recent games.

Come on you tigers!

Manu back at 13, has the experiment failed? Methinks JDV found he couldn't get involved last week :smt017

Ponderous is the perfect word to describe his performance last week... :smt023

Very excited about JDV + Manu the correct way around..EJ wants Manu at 12 but I think he relishes the little extra time he gets at 13 and JDV has been a world class 12 for years..

Rather upset it is not on TV as would really love to watch it and cannot come down this weekend...

Intrigued to see how the back row goes..

Decent team on paper except perhaps Balmain. I remain far from convinced of his
class at this level.
It is also disappointing not to see any old Tigers in the Irish Side.
I still have a fondness for George Skivington and Alex Lewington and was looking
forward to seeing them. Are they injured or out of favour?

Can't fathom Slater at 8.

Rest of the team great from what is available.

But Slater is not an 8. Too slow. If you are picking Slater there, you might as well play Crane. At least Crane has the experience

Ah but he was playing at 4 that day, he's not as quick at 8 :smt002

Pleased to see JDV & Manu the right way around, Kitto getting a start and Croft at 6 and not 7.

Hoping Betham & Kitch are just rotational absences.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

I share Smudge's doubts about Balmain - Mulipola should be starting ( a bit of a joke to see Fraser nominated for the Player of the Month award ). Not too worried about Slater at 8 - he will play well anywhere .

So full of :censored:.

That was 3 years and about 5 knee ligament injuries ago.

He is nowhere near as athletic anymore.

I can show you clips of Matthew Tait from 2006 Commonwealth Games and show you how quick he used to be!

Bit rude!
Some people on here do not understand manners when they get behind the keyboard.
Can I suggest "I think you will find your optimism tempered by several years of injuries"? :smt009

That '06 Matthew Tait was a sight to behold....

Whilst I agree with you I think you have gone a little OTT on the aggression.. :smt003

Quite agree, but I do think your description of your recent injury a bit below the belt. :smt001

JDV captained one of the worlds best sides at 12. Manu was rightly signed up on a huge contract based on his performances at 13. Simples

The word :censored: is necessary when you hear the same drum beat every 2 mins from the same people.

People need to look at what happens in games not what they want to believe.

Lot of myths about certain players get created at this club. Not one Leicester second row or back row can be compared to Johnno, Kay, Moody, Back or Corry.

Not in the same class. Just need to solve the problem by getting the right talent and nurturing people like Barrow and O'Connor
