Thank you. Hope things are OK with yourselves. It helps put the trials and tribulations of being a Tigers supporter and member of this forum into perspective. Although after yet another performance (@ Sale) where some very good play was mixed up with some abysmal stuff (almost as bad as LI @ Wuss for butchering try scoring opportunities), that perspective is sorely tested.BeeJay wrote:Imitation is meant to be the sincerest form of flattery so they say, therefore coloured me flattered.Cagey Tiger wrote:... however, if you have not been on the forum under a different ID in the meantime, then someone was doing a very good impersonation of you - it certainly had me and Bill (RIP) convinced.
I know it's a little late to say but please accept our deepest condolences on your loss.

Re: Franco-English Anglo-French banter
Stade Français took a pasting on Sunday in Toulouse which must have knocked their confidence a hell of a lot and so they are still third from bottom in the Top14.
Tigers must be feeling quite comfortable ahead of their Q final against SF - even though they were disappointing at Sale.
A big win against Glaws is now essential before Sunday the 10th.
Their potential semi final opponents, Racing and Toulon played each other on Saturday in Paris, with Toulon winning 21-20. Now I believe that if Racing win their Q final they will have to travel to England to play Tigers (if they beat SF!) but if Toulon win, Tigers travel to France, which is a different kettle of poissons!
Racing took a thumping away to Montpellier a couple of weeks ago, so we must hope they rediscover their form before Toulon go to Paris again.

Being Positive suppose we win on the 10th of April, then it will be either Racing Metro away or Toulon somewhere in England, and then if we're successful in the semis we'll probably end up losing to Sarries in the final.

Thanks, Noddy! I had it the wrong way round.
I'd rather face Racing in France than Toulon, who are coming good at the moment, and Halfpenny may well play in the Q final.
However, let's take one match at a time and give Glaws a pasting!

If Racing win their quarter final and Tigers beat Stade, the semi final will be in England.
Should Toulon win, the semi will be in France with Toulon getting (Home sides), irrespective of whoever wins the Tigers / Stade game.

Los Tigros do not qualify as a French side. But we'll see, morale is pretty low after the thrashing in Toulouse but the game in La Rochelle will tell in which spirit we come to Blightey.BeeJay wrote:Est-ce que les Tigres?Ze Stade Fan wrote:Well, see you in Welford Road and may the best French side win!

Remy you will not lure us into over confidence by trying to convince us of your woes! We have enough of these for ourselves, I have no doubts that your boys will be up for the challenge inspired, as always, by the great Sergio.

So the mind games have started!!
Poooooor Stade Français!! Mon oeil!!!
More like poor Tiglets after their iffy last few weeks!
They're going to have to raise their game considerably to beat SF, even though they are third from bottom in the Top14.
Write them off at your peril!
The game against Glaws is becoming crucial for Tigers' confidence.
Win handsomely and all should be well against SF, but anything less, then the seeds of doubt will have been sown.
Allez les Tigres!!

Quelle belle victoire!!
Sadly, I didn't see the game but I had score updates on the car radio as I was driving home.
Now we want Racing to beat Toulon for a semi in Nottingham!

Thank you to the Stade drummers on the terrace for playing our song today

There is only one team in Paris. The others are past the "périphérique" motorway ring. In the suburbs. outskirts. Limbo. Doldrums.Robespierre wrote:Now for another Parisian team!!

I have some "work" (what a disgusting word) to perform now but I'll keep you aware of what Racigne are.
