Where has chris11 stated he/she is an England or Scotland fan? What he/she has already said makes a lot of sense, i.e.
1. Most people prefer a Saturday 3pm k/o.
2. Today's attendance will be down due to the 6N (and possibly the lousy weather forecast).
3. The club will see this as an opportunity to make some money.
I'll set my system to record the Calcutta Cup match before I depart for Welford Road later today. Afterwards, I'll drive home and watch the game as live. The world won't stop turning simply because I won't find out the result of this match until later in the evening.
Lousy weather forecast?! What?! All these people who have been moaning about not kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday and when we finally get one, (should be 2pm today anyway) the weather forecast will stop people coming!
There should be no excuses for those who have moaned not turning up today.
Well spotted, Donny - I am not of fan of either England or Scotland! Nor, indeed, of any national team....you've outed me as a Guardian-reading, Corbyn-voting international socialist who is left cold by the flags and anthems!
My more serious point still holds, however. I've read endless threads on here where the vast majority of posters express a preference for 3pm Saturday kick-offs, and although they may not be statistically representative of all those who attend WR regularly, there's a fair chance that they are.
Also, my son has a tennis tournament that finishes at 2pm and he would have been really hacked off if he had to miss the game today because they moved the start!
All we have seen and heard this year and for the past couple of years, is how we never kick off at 3pm on a Saturday. We now have one and with the amount of moaners, I'd have expected today's game to be sold out a while ago.
Donny, It seems you are getting very annoyed at me. You cannot be anywhere near how annoyed I get at all the moaning about us not kicking off on Saturday at 3pm enough!

Annoyed - no; exasperated - yes. What I see here is an uncanny resemblance to a small child throwing a tantrum in a shop because its parent has said it cannot have the chocolate bar it has picked off the shelf.
If you are as annoyed with kick-off times as you claim, take the matter to the club. I've heard enough.
Donny, I have already contacted the club and Simon Cohen. Cohen didn't reply and Tigers said we need to kick off at 3pm at some point as its out chosen time. (Due to moaners)
As you seem to have missed the point I am making, let me tell you. I am saying that due to all the moaning that we don't kick off at 3pm on a Saturday, the club probably feel if they moved today's game to 2pm, they would get a load of abuse again. Yes, it's a bit of an inconvenience that I will have to record the England game but not a major problem. My posts have been more to prove the point that due to moaners, we are the only club to play at 3pm today and that whatever date and time is chosen, there are always going to be people who are inconvenienced.

As I've pointed out before, you're the only one who appears to be moaning.
“It is no use saying, ‘We are doing our best.’ You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.” Sir Winston Churchill.
Really?! I think you may want to check back on this forum. It'll be pretty easy to find plenty of people moaning about there being no 3pm Saturday kick offs.
I'll say it again, I was more trying to prove a point by opening this topic to show how even Saturday 3pm games are not suitable for everyone and due to all the previous moaning, the club felt obliged to keep the Sale game at 3 and not move it just 1 hour earlier.
I think you are wrong Ellis, the club deliberately set it at 3-00 so the England game followed on immediately to get folk into the bars to watch the TVs etc. Did it work, we stayed till half time then went home to watch the recording, there did not appear to be any more in the Crumbie bar after than normal, did more stay in the other bars?
I had a word with the suited gent about the black stuff, he told me that the beer deal with Everards dictates that they have to sell some of it. Thank goodness there is still some guiness available in some bars for the time being, didn't find out f this is only temp or not.
