Gone to the Crumbie in the Sky, RIP and condolences to his family.

I sometimes wonder what we're all really like on here: after all, can only judge by what we all say.
Bill's posts seemed to reflect a fella who was more concerned about how we played , rather than if we'd won every game .
Let's hope that, unlike the Clubhouse, they've got his new seat ready upstairs as, if not, I'm sure we'll hear about it!
Sympathies.

We, and the world, are now short of one grumpy old git. An ofttimes likeable one and one who was always up for a sly laugh at, and even with, his opponents. I've always suspected that his knowledge and contacts within this game went much further that many of us knew. A real character of this forum.

RIP Bill W - and lord help whoever is sitting next to you, wherever that may be :smt023

He has seemed to epitomise Tiger values as a committed supporter, tenacious, concerned about what the Club stands for as well as its success, about rugby in general and right thinking and rigorous, fair debate.

RIP Bill

Sad news. I learned a lot over time from Bill's posts, and often got irked at what seemed like repetitive digs here and there but was never in any doubt he was a Tigers man through and through.

Thoughts go to family at what will be a sad time. Remember the good times, remember the laughs, pardon the disagreements.

Watch the running angles and the line gaps from on high, give assistance to Tigers clearing kicks and add your weight to the heave to get us over the line.

You've left, but you'll never leave Welford Road. None of us will.

It's all too short.

RIP Bill W (Both board incarnations)

Blast! Irascible, argumentative, a great bloke to cross swords with and have an intelligent, if sometimes slightly off beat, debate on line. Biggest regret is I never met the guy, I have a feeling the odd Remy may have gone AWOL.

In "Bill speak"

And keep the faith, Bill, wherever your spirit takes you.

I'll miss you.

Like so many, I never met Bill yet I feel I've lost someone quite close. Best wishes to friends and family.
I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game
