Condolences to Bill's family.
RIP William Woodward, you are missed by so many people.
You were such a great contributor to this forum and anyone who read your posts was given a good rugby education.
And their revenge is as the tiger's spring,
Deadly, and quick and crushing.

All,
Bills funeral will be on the 29th February and the family have asked for family flowers only. Bill's family have requested that anybody wishing to make donation in memory of Bill should please donate to the Matt Hampson Foundation.
'Keeping the Faith' even after our last two game!

and is it not typical of the individual that was Bill should have his funeral on a day that only occurs every four years?

Hi all

I've been in contact with the Matt Hampson Foundation today and would appreciate that if anyone does contribute, please would they mention it is for Bill. Just so we can monitor how much is raised.

Our Funeral Director will do the same.

Thank you.

I didn't think of that, when we agreed on the date!

Just back from holiday and logged on to hear this very sad news. I'm surprised how sad this has made me, considering I never met the man, but his presence on the forum has been huge for so long that it's like losing a member of my own family.
My sympathies go to his family.

Hopefully no-one will take this in the wrong way, but Bill, if you are looking down on us, can you send us the evidence? :smt023
I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

I feel rather shocked. I never met Bill, but I felt I knew him and always thought about trying to meet up with him at a game sometime just to have a chin wag about the Tigers.

His posts will be sorely missed.

Cheers Bill :smt023

I have only just heard this very sad news, Bill was always a gentleman to me even when being "told off" or disagreeing. The forum is a poorer place without his contributions and knowledge. A true Tigers and rugby fan through and through.
Blessed be, Bill. May your spirit soar and your voice always roar with ours at a Tigers try or win.
