O'connor ?

Post by sapajo »

Not heard a dicky bird about Brendon since he went off injured after several minutes against the Saints. Does anyone have any idea of what has happened to him and what is the prognosis :smt017

Thought it was his hamstring. Time he had a rest anyway.

yep, Grade 2 was said at the time. Overuse, having two seasons back to back, and an area that 7s and anyone hitting rucks really put strain on.

If it was a grade 2 tear then the internet says anything from 2 to 8 weeks so let hope for a return close to the end of Feb - but who know how long is a piece of string?

Hamstrings are usually caused eccentrically, absorbing an impact or when the ground slides on impact. Can be quite intransigent if high up in my experience and depends which hamstring too.

I think we miss BOC more than any other player, because quite simply we don't have a natural replacement for him.

I really hope he's fit by the end of Feb, out potential team in a few weeks could look simply awesome with the impending return of Slater, M Williams, Manu (again), BOC, O Williams, JDV and Ghiraldini (as bench hooker).

Our pack has much more bite with Slater and Williams, aggressive quality players.

Cockers was asked specifically about BOC after yesterday's game and was very non-committal (after being quite specific about others on their way back). In Cockers-speak, that probably means we shouldn't expected to see him anytime soon.
