Personally I see little point in the constant signing of new players, both in the recent past and for the immediate future. There is little wrong with the players we already have - they simply are not playing as a team. Bringing in new players on what seems a monthly basis is simply a triumph of hope over experience.

You do know players leave and need replacing, and sometimes players are just not to standard or Fit a new game plan.

Personally I think that this game plan idea is the biggest problem, it's overstated.
Good players are able to play what is in front of them no matter what style is required, that's why many people have confidence in the strongest XV, because they are good players.
Start becoming too rigid one way or the other and you become predictable.
Sometimes a fast loose game is required and other times a slower tight game, often both are required in the same match.
We must be able to do both otherwise we will aquire bogey teams and tactical weaknesses as recent weeks have shown.

Huge shame about Pearce but unfortunately he just hasn't got enough playing time. No 8 is going to be an interesting recruitment drive for next year now- for me, Fonua is the 'luxury' player (we all know what his role is so I can see the attraction) but would rather Pearce in honesty.

Yep, but that could just be a question of balance and picking the form second rows and allowing the lineout poacher Croft into the side. We could see, on attacking ball, McCaffrey at 8, as he has played for much of the season, with Slater at blindside and Croft on the openside. Defensively I'd possibly expect them to play the positions on their shirts.

Catchpole, Kitto and Roberts signing new deals today - announced on the various Tigers feeds. Good news! I thought Kitto was excellent yesterday.

Quins looking at Elton Jantjies from the Lions
Wasps closing in on Heinrich Brussow as George Smith replacement
Midi Olympique..Saints and Lyon in tug of war for Francois Hougaard with Saints chasing him hard after their match with Worcester
Virimi Vakataw is being chased by Toulon, Toulouse, Lyon and Saints but Racing have made him an offer too

Brady wouldn't be my choice but AM can obviously see something in him and I trust that viewpoint..You think this means both Camacho & Benjamin are off along with Goneva who is all but confirmed off..

Backs next year: Youngs, Kitto, Harrison, Burns, Williams, Toomua, Tuilagi, JPP, Tait, Betham, Veainu, Thompstone, Brady, Catchpole, Roberts and some I have probably missed :smt054

Pat Cilliers Wikipedia page states (today) "He then moved to Cape Town, where he played Super Rugby for the Stormers and Currie Cup rugby for Western Province. He then joined South African coach Jake White at French Top 14 side Montpellier, where he played from 2014 to 2016 before joining English Premiership side Leicester Tigers prior to the 2016–17 season".

But you cannot always trust what is said on Wikipedia :smt002
