Treviso.
I've just about calmed down following Saturday and we get all this fab news regarding new contracts, brilliant news ! Now we have Treviso next week, with our injuries and whatever, what do we think the 23 will be for the weekend?
Re: Treviso.
I think I'd still expect Manu on the bench rather than starting as part of his phased return. He'll get more minutes I'm sure.
Who knows, maybe there'll be a first run out for JDV?

Re: Treviso.
Is JDV nominated for the European squad?Iain wrote:I think I'd still expect Manu on the bench rather than starting as part of his phased return. He'll get more minutes I'm sure.

I think so. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.drc_007 wrote:Is JDV nominated for the European squad?Iain wrote:I think I'd still expect Manu on the bench rather than starting as part of his phased return. He'll get more minutes I'm sure.

Re: Treviso.
No JDV is not at present in the squad but if we are quick we can remove & replace with JDV before the deadline - think it's Wednesday 12:00. See :-Iain wrote:I think so. Re: Treviso.
It's a tricky one as it is a must win, 5 pointer, but owing to injuries and some battered bodies, I think there will be some rotation. Telusa V's tweet after yesterday's game ends with '#bodyisawreck'. We don't want these guys susceptible to injuries.
On balance, we have got to trust in the squad I think.

Could be a straight swap for Owen Williamswormus wrote:

Re: Treviso.
Tigers must treat Treviso with respect and field a team strong enough to earn 5 points this Saturday. I know the temptation is to rest our star players and field an understrength team, but we must remember that we have to finish first or second seeds for the quarter finals, so if we do end up having to play Leinster or Toulon at least it will be at Welford road.

Re: Treviso.
I would go with:
Aguero
Tom Youngs
Dan Cole - needs to play himself back into form
Seb de Chaves - deserves his chance after his performance on Sat
Kitchener
Fitzgerald
McCaffrey
Pearce
Ben Youngs - in such good form he will keep the defence guessing - a must when we need 5 points
Freddy Burns
Goneva
Matt Smith
Peter Betham
Camacho
Mat Tait
Bench:
Marcos - can be brought on if needed
H Thacker
Logo
Dom Barrow
Tom Croft
Sam Harrison
Tommy Bell
Manu
Veainu needs a rest as does Thompstone
I believe this is strong enough to achieve our aims

Tigers for the premiership and European Cup. Get behind the team and make some noise!!
Re: Treviso.
I think I'd actually give Logo some game time at loosehead. He could do with a start.
Re: Treviso.
No not Camacho, pick Thomstone he had last week off v Sarries, Camacho shows no sign of any form.

Re: Treviso.
Would also appear (by the linked epcr page) that Mulipola isn't registered for Europe either which doesn't help rotation. How easy/quick is a straight swap?
Re: Treviso.
Sorry but I would leave Owen Williams in the squad and release Loamanu.drc_007 wrote:Could be a straight swap for Owen Williamswormus wrote:

Re: Treviso.
The problem is he will not acquire any if he is not picked. He is an international and should be able to play himself in to form. With the greatest respect Treviso are not setting the world on fire and so probably a good game to give him a go. If we are not going to play him why waste salary cap giving him a new contract?LE18 wrote:No not Camacho, pick Thomstone he had last week off v Sarries, Camacho shows no sign of any form.

Re: Treviso.
Since it seems Niall Morris is out of action for the foreseeable future, why not bring in JDV for him?wormus wrote:drc_007 wrote:Could be a straight swap for Owen Williamswormus wrote:No JDV is not at present in the squad but if we are quick we can remove & replace with JDV before the deadline - think it's Wednesday 12:00.
