Teams up v Saints

Re: Teams up v Saints
games are now played with 21-23 players, we have great options off the bench if we need to change the way we're playing, the rotation seems to be working ok atm, and the only way to make it work it to rotate. Using saffers as an example , their side doesn't really become that much worse when they rotate, except possibly when they have fazlet at 0 instead of hoggy.
I think the choices that stains have made are more interesting, dylon , myler and wood on the bench...
hopefully it will be a great game.

Re: Teams up v Saints
And OTY as Captain !! What an earth can our DoR be thinking ??!!
Re: Teams up v Saints
OTY as captain, Dullen not starting and Eddie in the stands? Well played Cockers!
Valhalla I am coming!
Re: Teams up v Saints
Can Dullan be sent off from the bench?
I guess if anyone can......

I'm sure it's not a deliberate thing but it is a delicious and amusing subtext!fleabane wrote:OTY as captain, Dullen not starting and Eddie in the stands? Well played Cockers!
Interesting that Tom seems to be getting the captain gig more often though. Previously he had been behind Ben and Tait for that job. Cockers increasingly impressed at his leadership skills?
Re: Teams up v Saints
Possibly because Tommy Youngs always leads from the front. Cockers must appreciate that.
Re: Teams up v Saints
I agree with the inclusion of Croft in the starting line up but otherwise I'm happy with the team. It has all the makings of a great game which will be won or lost up front. Let's hope this weeks review of the Saracen's performance reaps some reward

Re: Teams up v Saints
I guess the logic is start Fitz ahead of Croft to give some bulk to a fairly light back row, McCaffrey and O'Connor are both in form and couldn't be left out imo, makes sense for me.
Re: Teams up v Saints
I agree - with O'Connor playing, we need some ballast in the backrow..UpTheLowEnd wrote:I guess the logic is start Fitz ahead of Croft to give some bulk to a fairly light back row, McCaffrey and O'Connor are both in form and couldn't be left out imo, makes sense for me.
Croft can change the game later on - either win us some line out ball or to use his pace in the wide open spaces...
Less is more....
Re: Teams up
It would look a lot tastier is it had Manu and JDV in it...we do have these 2 players don't we? I haven't dreamt that they are Tiger players?RagingBull wrote:Happy for De Chaves was one of the most passionate players last season.
That backline looks Very Very tasty hard on Burns but adds rotation and gives Owen a chance to stamp a 6N's spot.

Re: Teams up
I may be wrong but looks like a team picked for an attritional wet weather game, and so with it less likely for the ball to reach the wings they've put North in at 13 where he'll see it more. However the weather forecast is now dry all day for SundayChobbsy wrote:Now there is a centre pairing we may struggle withRagingBull wrote:15 Foden

But what good is it being dry on Sunday?samsapples wrote:

Re: Teams up
Agreed but Manu has been in the "trophy cabinet" for 15 months! and JDV is still acclimatising to Leicester! The sooner they return before the end of season the better.Chobbsy wrote:It would look a lot tastier is it had Manu and JDV in it...we do have these 2 players don't we?
