Re: Team for Boxing Day
Really don't want to see Camacho or Crane, if you cannot show in an A Team match, certainly not good enough for the AP, I think Crane may have made 1 yard all match, whilst he was on.
Harrison stood out, played about 65 mins and was bench last week so are we going to see Kitto?
Certainly some need a rest after the batterings from the last 2 weeks but I hope we can still put out a strong team.
Loamanu is a strong tackler.

The fact we no longer have to rely on Crane is brilliant..good servant of the club but rarely reached the heights his early talented hinted he could achieve..McCafferey is a breath of fresh air and with Fonua to make some impact things are on the upLE18 wrote:Really don't want to see Camacho or Crane, if you cannot show in an A Team match, certainly not good enough for the AP, I think Crane may have made 1 yard all match, whilst he was on.

Don't forget Pearce, when and if fit.

Re: Team for Boxing Day
He was fit and played off the bench away v Munster when Croft was ill...I get the feeling he is not impressing as much as we hoped compared to McCafferey so given the options we may see him always down the pecking order and his attitude on the pitch is sometimes questionable I think..LE18 wrote:Don't forget Pearce, when and if fit.

According to Mercury
Full-back Mat Tait is back from a hamstring problem, No.8 Opeti Fonua returns from a broken arm and prop Logo Mulipola is also set for his first action since late October

Re: Team for Boxing Day

Re: Team for Boxing Day
When is the team for Boxing Day likely to be announced do we think? Later today or tomorrow?
Re: Team for Boxing Day
I think Manu is on a pay per match basis, must be around £100k per match at mo?sapajo wrote:Oh well best blood them both in an away match against Saracens it makes perfect senseBunchy wrote:I spoke to them both on Sunday at the match - JDV said he would be close to Boxing day but maybe not quite ready and Manu said he hoped for Boxing Day but most likely the week after...
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Re: Team for Boxing Day
I agree about the plastic pitch reticence. If they're not fit/available for Boxing Day against the Falcons I would say it would be better to leave their return until we play Treviso, or at the earliest, a bench appearance against Saints - but we can't risk both of them on the bench.Rykard wrote:i would be a little reticent about playing them on the plastic pitch tbh..sapajo wrote:Oh well best blood them both in an away match against Saracens it makes perfect senseBunchy wrote:I spoke to them both on Sunday at the match - JDV said he would be close to Boxing day but maybe not quite ready and Manu said he hoped for Boxing Day but most likely the week after...

Re: Team for Boxing Day
1. Aguero.
2. Thacker
3. Balmain
4. Kitchener
5. Barrow
6. Slater
7. Croft
8. Crane
9. Harrison
10. Burns
11. Goneva
12. Bai
13. Betham
14. Camacho
15. Bell
McCaffrey, BOC, YBY, OTY, Veainu and Thompstone to be out of the squad completely! I suspect Ayerza and Cole will warm the bench as I doubt we'll push Brugnara and Tiz in the AP unless forced.
