World Rugby to experiment with two Referees

Re: World Rugby to experiment with two Referees
Could be very interesting if both are reffing the scrum at the same time. Ref 1 penalised the loose head and Ref 2 thinks its the tight head, both give a penalty in opposite directions, hilarious!
They could always restart the game with the Aussie rules ball bounce up!

Two targets for Coley to aim at?

And Dullan can always claim his comments were directed at the other one
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

I see real problems for Marcos, as he will need the clock stopping when he lectures 2 referees on the precise nature of his superior scrummaging techniques!

Frightening. Imagine a Garner-Wigglesworth combination. Doesn't bear contemplating.

But the referee is the sole arbiter of fact - even with a TMO. What hapens when there are two referees? Toss a coin?Hot_Charlie wrote:Happens already with our over excitable assistants.LE18 wrote:Could be very interesting if both are reffing the scrum at the same time. Or just equip all stadiums with electronic voting equipment on every seat and allow the crowd to make the calls!Bill W (2) wrote:Ah so! Perhaps we should have three referees!!

Re: World Rugby to experiment with two Referees
Just 2 idiots making wrong discussions about scrummaging now. Unless they do something remarkable like employ an ex front row forward as the second ref who may actually understand something about it.
Re: World Rugby to experiment with two Referees
Mighty mouse, yes it would be good to get ex players to become refs, trouble is they don't want to do it, why?
