To return to the Kasabian line of thought

How about turning this (Doomsday 48:13):

What you see is what you get with me (uh oh)
What you see is what you get with me (uh oh)
What you see is what you get with me (uh oh)
What you see is what you get

I can take you places that you never have seen
Take you to a world where you live inside a dream
And if you wanna go there
I will take you to the top
Leave it all behind cause we're never gonna stop

We live and we die
We reach for the sky
We hold our heads high
We hold our hands high

Into
What you see is what you get with me (Ti-gers)
What you see is what you get with me (Ti-gers)
What you see is what you get with me (Ti-gers)
What you see is what you get

I can take you places that you never have seen (Ti-gers)
Take you to a world where you live inside a dream (Ti-gers)
And if you wanna go there (Ti-gers)
I will take you to the top (Ti-gers)
Leave it all behind cause we're never gonna stop

We live and we die
We reach for the sky
We hold our heads high

(Ti-gers)

We hold our hands high

(Ti-gers)

??

See What I did there?

Several advantages
1) There's effectively no tune to learn
2) Lots of repetition
3) An easy substitution (of uh-oh for Tigers) allows the traditionalists to both join in AND keep it the same - The other renditions of 'Tigers' will I believe fir in with the rhythm..

Now all we need is a 'choir' (of angels?)......

This is great Grimlish... :smt023

I would happily take a microphone if anyone would give me one...

Used to be in a band and can sing a bit if anyone has contacts at the club let them know we have found a song and want to unleash it on the crowd.. :smt003

All you would need is a little time before the game with some crumbie faithful and you would be rocking :smt034 :smt035 :smt041

Needs to be short and to a tune everyone knows like Tom Jones's Delilah
something like

My My My Tiger
Why Why Why Tiger
I could see that team was so good for me
And I was lost like a slave that no man could free

At start of play when we kicked away I was waiting
I crossed the pitched and their team felled me to the floor
They stood there laughing
I felt the ball in my hand and they laughed no more

My My My Tiger
Why Why why Tiger
So before they come to put up the score
Forgive them Tiger they just couldn’t take any more

To shorten 'Doomsday'

Just take out the words from 'I can take you' to ' gonna stop'

The tune is easy and most people will know it once they hear it, without having to know where its from.

So

What you see is what you get with me (Ti-gers)
What you see is what you get with me (Ti-gers)
What you see is what you get with me (Ti-gers)
What you see is what you get

We live and we die (Ti-gers)
We reach for the sky (Ti-gers)
We hold our heads high (Ti-gers)

We hold our hands high (Ti-gers)

What's all this about needing to learn a new song?? We have a great one, which most of us sing in the main bar after every home game. It's led by the band, Rock Bottom, and says it all: "This one goes out to the team we love; this one goes out to the ten times Champions, TIGERR-ER-ER-ER-ERS!"
I'm sure we could get the band on the pitch to help us sing it.

Wouldn't they get in the way of the players during the match? Which is when we'd probably want to be singing it..... :smt002

Agree about the song though, it's ready made.

if we're going to use a Leicester 'band/performer' then surely the mighty Showaddywaddy have songs to be 'manipulated' into a Tigers anthem :smt002 :smt005

Delilah was written by Les Reed and Barry Mason, two Englishmen, so nothing to stop us then!
There is an even better live version by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band who were,er, quite Scottish!!

Rock Bottom, and says it all: "This one goes out to the team we love; this one goes out to the ten times Champions, TIGERR-ER-ER-ER-ERS!"
While I'm in support of getting fans on the terrace singing… it's time for Rock Bottom to GO. Sorry, but someone had to say it! If you've heard them once, you've heard them a million times. They make Status Quo's setlist look diverse and eclectic. And the Elvis Tribute Act… I have no (good) words.

Would much prefer a different local band each home game to showcase some musical talent...

Can't agree about Rock Bottom, they seem very popular to me and fit the "know your audience" logic. It seems to me that lots of people do join in singing the favourites. However I would like to see them ditch the guest singers spots. As demonstrated by a female singer a few weeks ago nothing clears the bar quicker than a self indulgent singer - the bar is not a concert venue where people want to just listen. The bar after the game is the envy of most visitors I speak to,so I would be wary of change for the sake of it (Elvis excepted in IMHO). Clearly people don't stay for a couple of hours after the game for the great service and prices!
