FRU statement

Re: FRU statement
Coles description of his antics makes me think he is a fully justified member of the FRU, and that there should be no sanctions against him for his actions.
Valhalla I am coming!
Re: FRU statement
Where we watching the same game - I thought he ran it out of the Tigers 22?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Re: FRU statement
The FRU wishes to draw attention to its previous statement late last year when Mr Dan Cole decided to score a try for Leicester Tigers. The FRU is pleased to note that Mr Marcos Ayerza is today quoted in the Leicester Mercury as stating ""I'm happy when I have a good scrummaging game. But when I score that is more like an accident for a prop".rdracup wrote:After a wide consultation with its members the FRU today calls upon Mr Richard Cockerill to omit Mr Dan Cole from the Leicester Tigers match day squad for their forthcoming fixture with Worcester Warriors. An FRU spokesperson said, "Mr Cole is a well respected and experienced prop but in his last match he lost his focus, and set a bad example to younger members of the FRU. A one match ban seems appropriate, however should Mr Cole continue with his unhealthy interest in the match score, rather than his work in the scrum, the FRU will have no option but to cancel his membership. In this case in order to continue his rugby career Mr Cole will have no option other than to join our sisters in the backs".
However with another Leicester Tigers FRU member also scoring in the same game, the FRU now believes that Mr Cockerill must be the root cause of the problem and, as a former full time member of the FRU, calls on him to mend his ways and ensure each member of his squad knows the limit of their roles. Failure to do so will result in the suspension of Mr Cockerill's honorary FRU membership. The FRU will be following this farrago at Leicester Tigers closely.

Re: FRU statement
Now this is a union that is ripe for abolishment if all it can do is criticise a player who has already been punished by a one match ban and given other members of the union his disciplinary record is a paragon of virtue when compared to others who are presumably also members of this union, Their statement would carry more gravitas if they had come out with similar statements when a certain England captain transgressed the laws of the game, or is he one of those behind this statement? The mind boggles.

Some minds boggle for completely differing reasons......

The Medical Research Council will be pleased to know that their trial into the sense of humour bypass continues to yield positive results.Noddy555 wrote:Now this is a union that is ripe for abolishment if all it can do is criticise a player who has already been punished by a one match ban and given other members of the union his disciplinary record is a paragon of virtue when compared to others who are presumably also members of this union, Their statement would carry more gravitas if they had come out with similar statements when a certain England captain transgressed the laws of the game, or is he one of those behind this statement? Message from the Pedants Society - shouldn't it be "abolition"? What sort of a word is "abolishment"?
