Tait's injury
Granted, having been at the game, I haven't seen any of the match recording, but I was wondering what the extent of Tait's injury was. I thought someone might have commented by now - my apologies if I've missed it - so thought I'd open a new topic in the hope of an answer.
Thanks in advance.

According to The players on Sunday it seemed as if he had "rolled" his ankle.parkerd68 wrote:Granted, having been at the game, I haven't seen any of the match recording, but I was wondering what the extent of Tait's injury was. Re: Tait's injury
I posted this on the "Tigers v Bath - free to air..." topic. Sorry you missed it :
Read in a Merc article that Cockerill said it was a hamstring injury, but no further details.

Re: Tait's injury
From the TV pictures he appeared to have an icepack on a hamstring.

Re: Tait's injury
expected to be out about 2/3 weeks
Re: Tait's injury
Tait did his hamstring in making a try saving tackle on Roko in the first 30 seconds. He showed decent pace in making the tackle but was running at full speed in the 1st 30 seconds and his legs werent warmed up enough.
As he bounced up to prevent a quick line out you could see the hammy had gone.
Rehab is obviously dependant on severity of tear. Could b anything from 3-15 weeks

Hopefully we'll have Burns or Williams back so Bell can cover FB, or if not Morrison?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Not to mention Betham or Veainu.G.K wrote:Hopefully we'll have Burns or Williams back so Bell can cover FB, or if not Morrison?
For when the One Great Scorer comes to write against your name,
He marks - not that you won or lost - but how you played the Game."

Sorry - I didn't realise he'd changed his nameL Smith wrote:Or MorrisG.K wrote:Hopefully we'll have Burns or Williams back so Bell can cover FB, or if not Morrison?

Re: Tait's injury
If it is a serious hamstring tear then you are looking at 6 to 8 weeks out. Medium damage 4 to 5 weeks, twinges a couple of weeks, let's hope it's the latter.
Re: Tait's injury
It doesn't feel like Tigers having the depth of cover at this time of the year that we seem to have this season. For once Cockers has the right sort of selection problems and the chance to do a bit of rotation. It won't be long before some bright spark claims that we must be breaching the cap
Life can be unpredictable, so eat your pudding first!

We seem to have sufficient cover in many positions, how are we managing this within the salary cap?Noggs wrote:It doesn't feel like Tigers having the depth of cover at this time of the year that we seem to have this season. Re: Tait's injury
Exactly. None of this seasons new signings are big money signings (yes, even JDV being a "6 monther").loretta wrote:We choose wisely.
Interestingly I looked at a stats website earlier and it's interesting to note that their analysis placed McCaffrey, Fitzgerald and Betham consistently in the top 5 at Leicester - and had Croft not played a couple of games I bet Williams M would be there too.
