I've not yet ventured outside but the rain hammering on the window doesn't bode well. A kick fest in the offing as it's easier to play without the ball, perhaps?Timmers wrote:weather forecast looks horrendous with near gale force winds!
I hope our backs have been doing some catching practice this week!

Re: Stade Francais
To be fair tomorrow looks even worse, so I am glad we are playing today.
It's certainly going to be gusty throughout so kicking both from hand and from the tee could be a bit of a lottery. Hopefully Owen, Taity and the like can adapt to whatever is thrown at them.
Should be some dry spells to play some rugby in though.

You wouldn't say that if you have seen the way our Marcosless scrum has been functioning - he is now back so it should be better.Ze Stade Fan wrote:

Re: Stade Francais
Wow… just seen the betting and bookies make us MASSIVE favourites tonight.
2/9 Tigers and 10/3 Stade. -9 on the handicap is bigger than what NZ were to beat Oz in the RWCF!
I hope they are right. 9 point win would be just the start we need...

Lacey, however . . . it takes some effort to be so incompetent that you penalise someone for being offside from their own play of the ball.TigerLad wrote:Matt smith is having a superb game. The influence of mauger is clear to see.
O'Connor and McCaffrey are both having very good games so far, too. One thing Salvi wasn't was a link player and both are showing how valuable that is when you've got a head coach who knows how to get us attacking.

I'm stuck in the USA and relying on the BBC and this forum to,give me the scores and some idea how it's going. Currently 20-15 to us. Updates gratefully received!

Re: Stade Francais
Finished 33-20. The odd mistake and handling error prevented us from scoring more in the first half (no arguments that we dominated) and, indeed, led to their try. Again, dominant in second half without the necessary impetus to get to the try line. Swtiched off for a couple of minutes here and there which allowed Stade to score two more tries.CJ wrote:I'm stuck in the USA and relying on the BBC and this forum to,give me the scores and some idea how it's going. Finishing off moves when in the 22 needs work but, still, at least we're getting into the 22 more often this season and looking like we've got at least a couple of ideas about how to make metres this year. Also, 5-0 points-wise can't be sniffed at.

Fantastic. Thanks S and M. Great result and sounds like a brilliant game. Sod's law I missed it.

What a night! Feeling like death warmed gently over a low heat. I really really enjoyed that. Just what I've been looking forward to.
:censored: well played chaps. Mr Smith. Take a bow son!
Bit worried bout Leo..........That looked nasty, and I hope Owen is not too badly injured. He was great tonight.
Time for a medicinal Remy..........(Strictly Illegal but I'll suffer the consequences.........It being French and all!)
Brilliant!
