Will be extremely dangerous.

Did anyone else see the world cup players in the stands, they might be playing.

To be fair they were at home and they only won 14-9. I wouldn't be surprised if Clermont rested a few. Not saying Friday will be easy!

Lets hope that some of our hurt players are back and avaiable for selection - desperate for Marcos and i would repeat some of what I said on another thread -
I would deffo have O'Connor playing next week - no ifs or buts along with Pearce and Croft. Back them up with either Williams, McCaffery or Crane. We need to understand the importance of the win next week AND denying them a BP. I would also have Harrison start with BYB on the bench. The BP we conceeded to Ulster last year came back to bite us in the bum. Back 3 would for me be Thompstone, Tait and Veainu with Betham and Bai in the centre.

Despite his indifferent performance on Saturday I can't imagine Ben Youngs not starting. When all said and done he's Englands first choice fly half.

Williams picks himself at 10.

"Back 3 would for me be Thompstone, Tait and Veainu with Betham and Bai in the centre." sounds good to me. Although I would be surprised if Goneva doesn't start.

Ayerza/Youngs/Cole is a gimme.

No idea who are first choice 8 is but suspect Crane will get the nod.

4-7 who knows. So many possibilities. It's going to be critical to get that mix right.

I think you're going to have a tough time against SF!
There are quality players throughout, particularly the front row where the props van de Merwe and Slimani are on fire, and watch out for Danty in the centre who is a hell of a prospect!

Ben Youngs a fly half? It is scrum half you mean Ourla but I will let you off as it's Monday morning :smt023

Is Ayerza fit? Who else will we have back and raring to go? At my present knowledge I would personally go:

1:Ayerza 2:Youngs 3:Cole 4:Williams 5:Fitzgerald 6:Croft 7:O'Connor 8:Crane 9:Youngs 10:Williams 11:Goneva 12:Bai 13:Betham 14:Veainu 15:Tat
16:Ghilraldhni?/Bateman 17:Mulipola 18:Balmain 19:Barrow? 20: Mccaffrey 21: Kitto 22:Bell 23:Thompstone

re YBY or Kitto or Harrison - yes BYB is first choice but on our performances, not reputation and if we want to play at pace (assuming we do) Harrison has to be my choice. YBY has to believe that his players are where they should be and not wait so long with the ball available. Yes he should be No1 for us too but for me Harrison is the better option at this time for this game.

To be fair all the England players look jaded so far and pretty sluggish imo..
