The all mighty All Blacks prove they can be beaten.
Look at all the players we had then and those that fell out of favour.
As for Manu, I can't wait to see him doing this for us this season.

Look at the England breakdown work - not to be seen at the WC, thanks to wrong conditioning?Smudge wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wod8aZzmRWE

Thanks for reminding us of what English players are capable of, the difference in the hunger and desire to get stuck in could not be more starkly displayed.Smudge wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wod8aZzmRWE

Wood, Robshaw, Launchbury and Cole were unbelievable in the pack that day. For various reasons i am afraid that none of those players have been at that level for quite a while.

The Lancaster Inverse Ratio Effect, where increased contact with Lancaster decreases performance?Sajerj wrote:Wood, Robshaw, Launchbury and Cole were unbelievable in the pack that day. For various reasons i am afraid that none of those players have been at that level for quite a while.

Or with Rowntree ?jgriffin wrote:The Lancaster Inverse Ratio Effect, where increased contact with Lancaster decreases performance?Sajerj wrote:Wood, Robshaw, Launchbury and Cole were unbelievable in the pack that day. No i dont think so. Wood was truely a one season wonder at that level, Robshaw looks physically spent, and Dan and Launchbury have had major neck surgery and as of yet just havent got back to their previous levels.
Lawes is another one who is way of the levels he previously reached. I suspect that is just cumulative injuries.
When those five players were at the best, that England pack was top class.

Couldn't possibly be Lancaster's fault could itSajerj wrote:Or with Rowntree ?
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Its not anybody's fault. Those players simply arent in the form they showed in the past for either club or country.WhitecapTiger wrote:Couldn't possibly be Lancaster's fault could itSajerj wrote:Or with Rowntree ?

Manu the teenager who became the Man and world class player became the injury prone Manu.
So who at the club is managing Manu and training him to play in a way in which these groin injuries do not happen again. He needs a very firm sports profession choosing his physio, practice and style fo play to mazximise his talent.

Why does it need to be somebodys fault Bill.? Its a group of players who previously have performed at a world class level, and probably through a combination of age and injury are not at that level now.Bill W (2) wrote:And whose fault is that?Sajerj wrote: Those players simply arent in the form they showed in the past for either club or country.
The question of selection is a whole other matter. There is always a tendency in sport to stay loyal to players who have performed so well in the past, even if their current form has declined. England were definitley guilty of that error, IMO.
