Next England Coach? Fresh start?

Post by G.K »

Lancaster's days are surely numbered. Regardless of any contract currently in place I'm sure the RFU will have to pay him off (and the others) when England fail to qualify for the play offs, which will be in 7 days time.

Question is who next? What about Baxter from Exeter I think he'd make a really good England head coach? Who else could be a contender?

Not over yet.
Remember no real coach would take it unless they had absolute power, which is why Lancaster got the job.

Baxter would be a good shout, he coached on the Argentina tour during the Lions a couple of years back and I seem to remember England played well without our best players!

Bit premature, England will win the world cup, someone with Lancaster's luck cant fail.

If the worst happens then the dream team would be Deano, Shaun Edwards, Austin Healy and Cockers

Deano wouldn't have given us this carp; frankly Steve Diamond could've done better.

Yes Bill, I agree it will be too late but I fear that's when it will be.

No Lancaster will have his contract terminated in 4 weeks, he'll accept the pay off and go and write a coaching book for school boy Rugby.

Why did he get a massive contract extension last year? There better be a whopping great get out clause if we fail to qualify. :smt013

The only 'whopping great' thing will be a payoff if he's dismissed from his contract.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Its not Lancaster's fault, perm any 2 of the below.
1. Players make decisions on the pitch so blame the Captain not me
2. Players gave away penalties not what I wanted so dont blame me
3. Players got themselves injured so dont blame me
4. Brad said he was match fit so dont blame me.
5. Launchberry was selected on form ahead of Kitchener
6. Dylan would have nailed his throws, blame Tom Youngs. Even the last 2 lineouts were Tom's fault as he did not stay on the pitch.

The coaches have no case to answer.

The next England coach needs to be a minibus to remove the coaching staff from Penny Hill Park :smt023
