I'd rather drag my nails down a blackboard than listen to her murdering this song. If you feel the same, please sign the petition and spread the word.

This really is one of the worst things I have ever heard..Even the little part that comes on before/after the adverts is just horrific whoever signed this off needs to be sacked..apparently there have been lots of complaints about it :smt042

Completely agreed. This is dreadful. I have been looking for a Paloma Faith filter for my stereo / tv. As yet, unsuccessfully.

Paloma Faith is excellent doing what she does, which is highly stylised doo-wop/light jazz etc.
Alas some berk at ITV thought , as very much 'in' these days, she should give us a highly stylised take on WIU. The berk should be collecting his/her P45, but in the wacky world of meejah they'll probably get promoted in order to baalix something else important.

And your time is being spent doing what exactly?

not complaining over a few seconds of a song being played as a bumper on a tv show, seriously if you started or signed a petition over this re-evaluate your priorities

I like it :smt030
If winning isn't everything, why do they bother keeping score?

What's worse? And who needs to re-evaluate their priorities? The complainer or the person who complains about the complainer? :smt017

Deeply annoying - at every set of adverts. It may be only a few seconds at each break - but they add up and destroy the moment. By the end of the RWC we will have been subjected to it over a hundred times.

Just can't beleive that anyone at ITV listened to the final recording before releasing it.

I have signed up.

TBH mutilation occurred when the theme was abstracted from 'Jupiter' and made into a song, not something Holst (as an early socialist) apparently was enamoured of. It is a great orchestral moment - though IMO not anywhere on a par with 'Mars' in the same suite, and it sounded great when first used over a decade ago, then slowly diminshed by its less than poetic refrain. However it has been mutilated by other singers less gifted but also less vocally idiosyncratic than the delightful Ms Faith (who coincidentally is also of the left wing political persuasion).

Name one less talented. I realise that these things are like Marmite, but frankly she couldn't hit the right note with a bazooka from four feet.
