Really poor for a World class tigers player testimonial and a World cup friendly.

Schools are back from holidays aren't they?

Top end tickets are £25 senior and £10 16 -> which IMO is a decent price.

I am going with 3 others.

Will pick up a couple more Ayerza testimonial shirts (Christmas isn't to far away) if available.

Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

That's not good at all if true. :smt009

I bought 5 tickets to show my appreciation for such a World class Tiger.

Probably the fact they're £25 a ticket. It may be for a world class Tigers legend but ultimately, it is only a friendly match.

I cannot see that this match is that Price sensitive.

More likely a vote of no confidence in the catering arrangements!

IMO £25 for an adult and £10 for U16 is a fine price on the whole.

and that is top end.

Terrace is £22 and £8.

Compared to other friendly games like the Kings of the north @ Sale is £20 and £10.

Wow terrace tickets for only £22! A whole £3 less than seating. I think if friendly games were priced at £10 and free for kids, you would have a lot more people turn up.

I seriously hope this is well short of the actual turnout.

Here we are hosting an international XI as well as celebrating & supporting a fantastic world class player.

Elsewhere on this forum I see numerous posts debating this or that player renewing his contract or leaving for France or Bath or Saracens for more money.

Marcos is truly world class, he is probably the only player on our books at the moment who, in his position, would comfortably walk in to any other international or club side. Yet he has committed himself to Tigers long term.

At a time when we ask what price loyalty these days? Marcos has shown that in spades, every time he pulls on a tigers shirt he always gives his all, anyone remember him having a bad game?

So cmon support our Marcos

Do the Club want a lot more people to turn up?

Remember the turnstiles at the Crumbie side will be very limitted as will the catering facilities throughout the ground.

I'll be there and I consider the price to be fine.

A bit disappointing that supporters aren't going to be there in bigger numbers for Marcos after his years of service but I guess that's how it goes.

I understand this to a degree but it is Marcos Ayerza's testimonial is it not? The idea of which is to raise money..... :smt017

I think the facilities/staff still cost / have to be paid from somewhere.

I'll sleep soundly knowing I'll be at Welford Rd for rugby again this weekend, irrespective of the match, and in complete indifference to which turnstile I have to use to access the ground.

I do think the price a bit on the steep side . My family are all going mainly because its a birthday celebration weekend , but if the adult price was say £15 I think there would be more of a turnout . After all it will probably be Tigers 3rd team out there .
