They had too much pop and behaved badly; who hasn't (when young).

The club has apologised and it would be good for the players involved to be fined by the club and the money donated to a charity of the landlords choosing in addition to 'costs' to cover any losses.

Don't understand why Saints allowed this to hit the headlines. One of them must have been sober surely - who was driving. "Here my credit card we will pay for any damage and add on £1000 for good faith!"

...or offer to do a charity night at the pub affected with players serving behind the bar or something. All sorts of easy ways to turn this into a positive reflection on the players and club.
