In Mike Williams interview with LTTV he says he has signed a 3 year deal and reckons he will play most of his rugby as a blindside flanker.

I think the problem is that there is no world class inside centre readily available. We aren't short for next season with;

12. Bai, Loamano, Roberts, Bryant, Thacker Jnr
13. Manu, Tait, Smith, Catchpole

a world class 12 ala the signings of Howard, Gibson or Mauger were when we signed them would be nice but is more likely next season it seems.

I assumed he'd been signed as direct competition for Croft. Cockers certainly seemed to favour a lock sized six towards the end of last season and Williams has played there a lot for Worcester.
