People have been given three months notice of this. You'd think that was enough to plan accordingly wouldn't you?

For me my Tigers games are my social event of the week/fortnight,we meet up for pre-match drinks, go to the game and then meet up with other friends after the game.Sunday matches make this social gathering impossible, several friends live many miles from Leicester so cannot now have a drink and they have to drive home for work the next day.For myself i run an online business so Mondays are my busiest day of the week as we have 3 days posting to do ,this means i cannot have a few jars on a Sunday either. An occasional Sunday game is accepted but not 3 in a row!.might as well give up my season ticket if i cannot see my games on a Saturday.

With completion of the World Cup over those first two home games, Sunday was to be expected and a much better option than Fridays which is the most grim on the roads - particularly with a 300 mile round trip!! So relieved actually.

Kusadasi tiger, I mean this the best way possible but perhaps you really should consider not having a season ticket. Fixture changes are going to happen every season, it's not going to change. Perhaps pick and choose the games that are on Saturdays and buy tickets for those games

Ellis 9, I agree with you totally. I would sooner we played at 15.00 on a Saturday, but at least we have plenty of notice.

I came to the same conclusion a few seasons ago. I just pick and choose to suit my other commitments. Shame really but that is professional sport for you, governed by broadcasting rights etc. At least I get to see either Cambridge or Bedford play on a Saturday and either watch the Tiger on BT Sport or wait for the game to show up on Premiership TV. So the Tigers and local Leicester business don't get my dosh, which I guess is small potatoes compared with the amount per head from BT Sport?KUSADASI TIGER wrote:For me my Tigers games are my social event of the week/fortnight,we meet up for pre-match drinks, go to the game and then meet up with other friends after the game.Sunday matches make this social gathering impossible, several friends live many miles from Leicester so cannot now have a drink and they have to drive home for work the next day.For myself i run an online business so Mondays are my busiest day of the week as we have 3 days posting to do ,this means i cannot have a few jars on a Sunday either. An occasional Sunday game is accepted but not 3 in a row!.might as well give up my season ticket if i cannot see my games on a Saturday.

Better than a Friday evening game.

It might be for your situation.
Personally I love Friday night games for the reasons I said earlier. Plus you've then got all day Saturday and Sunday free too. It just feels like a bonus bit of weekend.

1) If the majority of games were Saturday @ 3pm there would be no TV deal and very little rugby on TV*
2) You can't please all of the people all of the time.
* Whether that is a good thing or not is a matter of debate. Who can actually watch even half of the rugby that is shown. And what happens to the TV money, does it provide something worthwhile for the game.

So one or two people hacked off, the majority not too fussed. I can only make one game a season anyway so not a big deal for me.

Great news, more chance of watching them and gives those playing on A Saturday the chance to go.
Like it or not the same people on hear who tell me I need to get over the past and that we need to move forward also need to embrace the fact that the TV boys bank roll the clubs now and to do that they need to show games at peak times for advertisers. The reality is 3pm on a Saturday isn't a peak time.
