Tigers Tradition #2

Post by Suz »

Ok so at the last couple of games the big screen has had a message on when a kickers is lining up his kick as 'Tigers Tradition #2 We respect kickers from both teams'. Or similar along those lines

Which got us wondering - whats Tigers tradition #1? Anybody know?

thanks :smt023

I believe that it's all about respect:
The Game and it's Laws,
Each other,
The club and it's history,
Our players and officials,
Our opposition, whoever it is?

But most importantly, winning isn't everything ( even though losing can be really painful!)

A copy of the traditions is sent out with every ticket purchased in the hope that people not only read them, but abide by them too.

It's also up on posters in the bars around the ground - at least it was in the Final Whistle on Saturday...

I can't remember the specifics, but the basic gist of the list was its a RESPECT campaign - respect kickers, opposing fans, allowing people to watch the game without harassment / drunken behaviour / people standing in the way, etc

I remember the last one was something like "win or lose - enjoy some time with the opposing fans after the game"

Thanks all :smt023
I've not seen them as it been a long time since I've brought a paper ticket or frequented a bar, its usually straight in to get a good spot on the terrace. Maybe the club should put them all on the big screens pre KO.

Good idea though i think we need all respect traditions to carry on for a long as possible

I think it was contained in the video which started with respect, ended i think with Manu saying he believed in all his team mates etc or words to that effect.
