Tyrese Johnson Fisher
Suggest RC and Co sign this lad up pronto, he is at Oakham School, you tube his finishing...
Mind you he looks old enough to be the father of a 15 year old, let alone playing for the under 15's...

Wouldn't be surprised if he focuses on athletics.
100m in 10.92 seconds.
Sounds like he is still learning rugby, don't know how his defence is.
Extreme talent and if he wants to focus on rugby Leicester should go after him.

Re: Tyrese Johnson Fisher
brilliant - 4 superb tries with pace and power. Yes we should be involving him in the academy if possible - here is the link

He may be quick and powerful compared to others now but will he be in five years, things will level up, under 15 is way too soon.
I liked their No15 when I saw them, creative and saw space.

TBF there aren't many people on Earth who can run the 100m in under 11 seconds. You can teach someone how to defend or kick but you can't teach pace, that alone makes him a talent. If he chooses to play rugby he might be an international or he might be nothing, as you say he's only 15 so it's way too early to tell just yet. You can't ignore those physical stats though. The Boy Dave wrote:He may be quick and powerful compared to others now but will he be in five years, things will level up, under 15 is way too soon.

Re: Tyrese Johnson Fisher
Very promising looking youngster.
I think Oakham are coached by 'Dosser' Smith, and so have very good connections with the Club. But I am not sure how the Academy works these days. Don't they have a policy of having the youngsters all at one school, Wyggeston & QE1 College?
I think that was the problem with Charlie Walker. He was at Oakham, and he didn't want to move.
I might have this all wrong, but if not,it seems a short sighted approach. I don't think any other Academies operate in this way. Certainly Saints draw talent from a number of Schools and Colleges.

Re: Tyrese Johnson Fisher
At present Academy lads have to attend either QE 2 or Leicester grammar as they are the only 2 schools that will timetable in the time required by the academy. I know for instance that one lad had to move from Loughborough grammar to leicester for this reason.
You're correct about Dosser being at Oakham.
Having seen the lad great power and pace but no step or any sign that he was ever going to pass the ball, indicate he is rugby novice.
Reminds me of a lad I used to play regularly against over 35 years ago by the name of Barry Evans

Really glad you watched the screening, TJ is a fantastic talent, he is a bit raw. I was there, he plays outside centre to my grandson and the whole team were superb on sunday, i cannot wait for the final at Twickers on the 25 th. Sherborne school should provide stiff opposition, they played well in their semi, but with pace like TJ has, no reason why Oakham cannot win the vase.(pity they went out of the cup early, before the season was properly underway and before they were properly organised, really flying now)
Come on Oakham!
Come on Oakham!
Re: Tyrese Johnson Fisher
I always thought Barry should have been an England great but the then England coaches
virtually ignored him. A great shame and to England's detriment.
If we don't sign this lad up you can bet your boots that Dusty will be sniffing
around and he will end up at Stains.
While I agree with some of the comments about players of his age, there is no
substitute for talent and in three years he could be in a top club.
There is a knack to spotting talent early, we loose that at our peril.
The kids are our future.

Most definately can't ignore it.
They all hit the wall eventually though, then something else is needed, he may well have that.
The hunt to sign them up before someone else does causes a rush, getting more and more like the roundball game.

Re: Tyrese Johnson Fisher
You don't have to be at either of those schools to get consideration. I know a lad who was at a local college who was in the trial squads and looks likely to be in the league academy system instead.
I heard a rumour from a couple of different people that the academy changes were due in part to a failure to recognise and nurture talent outside of some of the more well known schools.
