Italy bid for 2023 World Cup

Do you realise what this means?

Roma, Treviso, wine, the best hospitality and atmosphere, fiercely loyal supporters . . . .?

Hope they succeed in their bid!

As much as I love this idea, will the Italians have sufficient suitable stadia to host it? Roundyball is even more of a god in Italy than here so I can foresee problems trying to use its grounds during the domestic season.

I went to an International in Italy once.
It snowed and Rome instantly closed down.
We had to walk from the stadium to the hotel in snow 3 cms deep.
Would I go again?
Yes, of course I would.

This would be a really good choice and maybe you would actually be able to get tickets to England games then :smt003

Are you referring to the 2012 Italy v England 6N match? That was a weekend to remember! In fact, I wish I could. :smt030
