If it was 3/2 years ago signing Jones would have been prob considered the best signing in the league.

But now I'm not sure you would hope he would be fairly cheap.

You just have to look at Castro to tell that even TH props have a limit.

Fortunately we shouldn't have to sign any front Row for a couple of season.

Exeter sign Ollie Atkinson but I'm guessing the quote from Rob Baxter at the end refers to Salvi going there. Probably means Croft won't be heading that way imo.

Just imagine how good a back from of Salvi, Croft and TTTE could be...

If the Dr Roberts signing is true as well, definite signs of intent from Quins
Presumably Gatland won't give a fig.......
Roberts will go to Quins, Racing Metro have released him (with no fee)

Are there issues at Racing? They let Sexton go early too.

Arrival of a certain Mr D Carter may of had something to do with that

Hardly a journeyman, but definitely past his best. Quins' need is greater than ours, however, and they need a short-term reliable tighthead while their crop of youngsters come through. In Collier and Sinckler they have two of the best young tightheads in the country - one a devastating carrier the other a precocious scrummager - but with PDJ having not made any impact they needed to bolster with experience.

Particularly since young players who play as frequently as Collier and Sinckler have done can be susceptible to injury. Collier is still only 23 and has racked up nearly 70 games for Quins, Sinckler is still just 21 and has played more than 50 games for them. I'm all for promoting kids, but that's an immense amount of rugby they've played for their ages.

Mmmmmmm Visser not starting for Scotland and not always for Edinburgh, maybe the move will lift his career a bit.

Visser is a better player than Fife - at least he can tackle - a big mistake not to play him against Ireland - possibly cost England the championship!

I thought that the general problem with Visser wasn't his finishing skills it was the fact he couldn't tackle his way out of a wet paper bag?

I'm sure he'll score tries for Quins but I'm not sure it'll fix their major issues at lock and inside centre. Another backrow should be on their shopping list as well.

Charles Piutau -----> Ulster

On a deal worth 1 Million NZ dollars a season. (£505355.97 a season)

Hell of a signing. Hell of a wage.
