I am worried this could be a rather long night...Burrell didn't exactly fair well for Saints v Roberts..

Cole and Croft as pointed out astonishingly short of matches under their belt..

BUT there is A LOT of pace in that team would love to think they are going to be let loose to run the big Welsh backs off the pitch..

If only Wade was on the bench for impact along with Simpson that would be attacking central!

Going to be a very open game with the amount of speedsters on show, i agree that Cole should not be starting, lack of match practice and game time after serious injuries then being thrown into a high intensity match against the Welsh. Other queries have to be why no kitch or care? Ben Youngs hasn't set the world on fire and not to have a quality replacement lock could be a big mistake. A lot of the Welsh guys are in form. If Roberts, North and Warburton win there match ups then it could be a long night, think the Welsh by 7 points.

Just has that feel of safe options, not overly impressed with the pack, but we will see.
Is this on Sky or the BBC?

Ah you know full well anything to do with England is only reported if they lose, what ever it is .Expecting a few "Come on Wales" shouts anytime now. :smt004

That's as good a team/squad as we could put out in the circumstances.
I would have put Kitch on the bench not Croft.

As for Cole - give the England management some credit (remember Wiggy is the scrum coach)they would not be playing him unless they were very confident he could give a good 50/60 mins at the coal face!

Burrell needs to produce the sort of form he showed against Tigers, if he does and Ford kicks well, we have a chance, as I think we will have parity in the pack.

I think it's as good a team as we can put out considering the injuries.
I would have liked to see Watson at fullback and Wade on the wing, but that is far too attacking for Lancaster.
We all saw Burrell get stomped on, but I don't think 36 would have done much better.
I think the backline has a good feel and balance to it.
I would love to see Matt Kvesic at 7, he gets through so much more work than Robshaw in that position.
With Kvesic at 7, that backline would have another string to its bow.
Robshaw won't be able to compete with Sam Warburton, whereas Kvesic would have a real battle with him at the breakdown.

Its going to be pretty exciting which ever way it goes

As I said in the other topic, why have 2 back rowers on the bench and no locks? Makes no sense.

Croft & Easter have both played lock and have a great all round game, but agree Croft's a bit short of match pace.

Wade does not have a Lions cap. He got a replacement call up for a midweek game.

I agree Wade is unlucky, but I agree with SL playing Brown at full back. Yes Watson is the future there, but for this game in Wales we need a few old experienced heads given our injuries and Brown will relish the atmosphere in Cardiff and will not let England down.
