We would have qualified!
If we had got the 5 pointer!!
Sarries got through on 17.
Wishful thinking.

We didn't deserve it anyway. Concentrate on getting in the Top 4.
Re: We would have qualified!
It wasn't Ulster that cost us qualification it was the abysmal performance against Scarlets away that did it
Hambo :- He was with England when he was injured, but he was a Tigers player, our player. He is still our player.”
Re: We would have qualified!
One missed catch by Anthony Allen at Scarlets, after which he grinned like a Cheshire cat. Poor handling and interceptions thereafter. Then we failed to capitalise and get an bonus point at home against Ulster.rocktop51 wrote:It wasn't Ulster that cost us qualification it was the abysmal performance against Scarlets away that did it
The cost was built on ineptitude.

Would have / could have / should have!
Frankly Ulster did us a favour. Our away record in Europe is appalling. Toulon or Clermont in the QF would have been our fate = same outcome as in 2013/4.

Not a single group point away from Welford Road in this season's european competition and only 18 match points in the 3 ties (only Treviso scored less on their travels).

I am a fan also. But, yes, it's getting harder by the game.TigerintheCatStand wrote: I am a big Cockerill fan but my support is wearing thin.
I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

Re: We would have qualified!
Very sad state of affairs. After the Scarlets game we blamed the poor performance on injuries yet with a substandard side we failed to beat an Ulster team playing for nothing but pride.
A larger majority of the team are international players yet looked lost and at times out of ideas.
So where has it gone wrong? Is it the coaching? is it the management of players? is it the players themselves?
We aren't producing the academy players we once did who would put their bodies on the line for the chance to wear the shirt, or are we just not giving them the chances?
We aren't attracting the best players in the world and instead are left giving contracts to 39 and 36 year olds who have seen better days which shows that the draw of the club no longer exists.
We have some of the best medical staff in the game which without we simply wouldn't have a squad to speak of. We have a great academy that has for years have produced international players and premiership regulars without fail. We have a huge stadium full of fanatical supporters who pay more than just their ticket price to show their support win, lose or draw. We have a fantastic commercial operation that has allowed the club to compete both on and off the field without the need for a single financer......
So what is the problem???

Re: We would have qualified!
Succinctly put. Hopefully the great minds that run the Club can get us back on track. We are not the first or only club with proud traditions and great records to fall on hard times, and we won't be the last.
I trust those in control will keep a clear head and not panic.

I don't think anyone is panicking, just merely pointing out the obvious that 'the great minds' at the club seem to be ignoring.

I was referring to the powers that be, ie the "great minds" not anyone else.chipnchase wrote:I don't think anyone is panicking, just merely pointing out the obvious that 'the great minds' at the club seem to be ignoring.
