Gutted is all I can say but I wish him all the best. I think its fair to say that Mauger must have a replacement coming with him as I cant see Crofty being a long term option in light of his injury issues?

Another thing is maybe he wants to be a 7 (Like at irish) Saints don't really have a 7 ATM, neither do England ;).

IF Salvi is staying no chance for him to get that shot really.

Also Croft must start ahead of him now, with Barbieri or pearce on the bench more. IMO.

Shame but would this have happened if he was still behind Mafi and Croft?

Scully has been my favourite TBH.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head ragingbull if he does want to play at 7. Oh well at least that bodes well for Salvi staying? fingers crossed!

Another one for the list of great players we let go?

Must admit I'm a bit surprised at this. Perhaps it will make more sense in the fullness of time.

I guess we will have to settle for Nyanga, Kaino, Croft and Salvi in the backrow :smt003

I'm sure though, that the club have everything in hand, and that it is part of plan.
Couldn't agree more, world class club needs a world class back row

This is extremely bad news. Gibson has been excellent for some time. :smt009

I think I will bite my tongue until this has settled in and not mention our inability to retain talent. Instead I will just hope that there is some unbelievably good replacement winging his way from abroad and this will prove to be a stroke of genius.......

.......please, please, please let this be the case.

It has to be. Don't want Gibson anywhere near the starting XV if there are alternatives. Shocking lack of loyalty from him.

And Alberts.

Look to but it this way ATM he isn't World Class on there days Mafi and Croft ARe World class.

What Gibson is is very good and extremely reliable.

We have lost players with more potential (Ford) and we have lost bigger name players (Flood, Castro)

The fact is when he signed many were a bit meh by the signing (The usual why sign someone who can't get into the Irish 23) but he has progressed a lot. But it isn't the end of the world.

now if Salvi goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Extremely bad news about Jamie Gibson!
This season to date, he certainly would get my player of the season award.
Both home & away I have yet to see another Tiger's player that has played better than him.

Kitchener for me as player of the season ATM, Gibson close second.

Honestly how many people would be crying if when he signed it was announced Gibson would be replacing Mafi at the time.
