Team V Ulster

Post by floridaboy »

Okay, so after the weekend's win what do we think the team is going to be against Ulster ? I don't know about Thorn, didn't look good when he went off did it ?

Do we know about Allen ? Do we keep with Bai and Goneva ( I would like to see Tait at Centre)

Anyway, we need 5 points, who do we go with....... Discuss!

Keep the backline as is ATM.

Would rather though play the likes of Morris, Scully, Loamanu etc in the LV Cup.

Cockers said Cole might be in.

When you say that you mean play Burns vs Ulster or Williams RB?

I would like to see Barberi involved more but has hasn't usurped Crane and that is for good reason whilst seeing his ball carrying ability at the weekend was great!

We pick the strongest team we have got (whatever that is) especially with the LV round the corner!

After Friday night, I'd be inclined to pick Fred at 10. I thought he had a decent game.

It being an Away game could see why Cockers would go with Williams:

As said with the LV cup game next weekend could see the team being this:

1) Ayerza, 2) Youngs, 3) Logo
4) Parling, 5) Kitchener
6) Croft/Gibson, 7) Salvi, 8) Crane
9) Youngs, 10) Williams
12) Bai, 13) Goneva
11) Thompstone, 14) Benjamin, 15) Tait

16) Leo, 17) Rizzo, 18) Cole/Balmain, 19) De Cheves, 20) Gibson/Croft/Barieir, 21) Harrison, 22) Burns, 23) Smith

With the LV cup (Going off injury returns looking like:
1) Bristow, 2) Thacker, 3) Cole
4) De Cheves, 5) Peterson
6) Gibson/Croft 7) Beckett, 8) Pearce/Milne
9) Mele, 10) Bryant
12) Hepetema/Roberts, 13) Loamanu
11) Morris, 14) Smith, 15) Bell

16) farnworth, 17) Brugnara, 18) Balmain, 19) Whetton/Price, 20) Milne/Pearce, 21) Tresidder, 22) Hepetema/Roberts/pohe, 23) Manu

Maybe mix it more up with the likes of Owen, Catchpole, Rhys Williams etc.

Last week is the most dangerous our backs have looked in some time. Wouldn't change any of the backs myself especially as we are chasing the full 5 points.

Only changes I might consider would be starting with Marcos, TY and Cole in the front row and Kitch for Thorn if he is injured.

I would leave most of the team the same. Kitchener in for Thorn as he didn't look to good coming off after 7 minutes.
Does anybody know if Logo is going to be cited for the stamp?

Judging by the Toulon thing it shouldn't affect this game.

Might be sacrilege but Goneva is lost at centre I'd move him back to the wing and put Dossers lad at 13

On RagingBull's LV side - George Tresidder is injured atm and a little way off a return (BTW his surname rhymes with tree-sitter, not dress-hitter - its Cornish thing apparently).

Sounds like Ulster are almost as screwed with injuries as Scarlets were. It could be too late but boy have we been handed a slice of luck these last two weeks. That Scarlet defeat is going to hurt even more now if don't make it. As for who to put out. I'm guessing Gibson will be back in some form. Can't see wholesale changes.

Big shame (the injury not the name)

What has Thompstone done wrong? I thought he had an excellent game last week.
He is not injured,is he?
