Show your support for Richard Cockerill

Post by Phil B »

:smt006

I am tired of all of the doom and gloom at the moment. Nobody has a better record than Tigers over the last decade or so - NOBODY!

Richard Cockerill has presided over a greater part of this "dynasty" and he deserves a great amount of credit for this.

We are experiencing a difficult time with injuries and absences - that is the core of our current problem.

If you don't want to support Cockerill, then please do not reply to this post.

However if you agree with me, and believe that he does not deserve to be made the scapegoat for our current (temporary) problems, then please say so.

For me, this coming Friday's result is irrelevant to the argument.

I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

Completely agree Phil!

Clubs/teams are about supporting each other, the coaches, players, directors and the paying public, through both the thick and thin times. Whilst it's true that no one person is greater than the club, it is equally true that no one person should shoulder the responsibility when things aren't quite going to plan.

And let's face it - we, traditionally, start 'slowly' but going to the AP semis and finals has cost me a fortune in the last ten years!!

Far too early in the season to be panicking, he has my support.

Voice of reason. As a person he will not be everyone's cup of tea but as OUR director of rugby he deserves our support until the Board decide he is no longer our DoR.

We have unfortunately been here before and he has always been at the helm in bringing us through it...The time to debate will be at the end of the regular season.

He does not need my support. My old jock strap is not big enough for his balls! Yes the little corporal has them in spades.

Rowntree, Cockerill, Garforth. The rest did not matter (Sorry Johnno) Rowntree, Nobby, Garforth was never the same.

Facing down that All Black Chappie....Hewitt?....showed he had them.

Now we need some brains because balls and brawn alone won't win the day. The man needs help.............In the nicest possible way. A slice of luck in generous proportion would help too.

I can't help but feeling that some people won't realise how good the man is until they get their way and he's gone. Absolute legend who's steered us out of this before. In 2011 we lost 5 of the first 6 games and still finished 2nd and got to the final. Keep the faith.

The smell of victory will be all the more sweet. Let's drink beer and make some noise on Friday!
