Re: Fair game or sexism?
Maybe I will try and get myself lost outside the ground and start crying so they can kiss me better and take me to the correct turnstile.
I wonder if they are trained in mouth to mouth resuscitation because I may just faint at the sight of them.

Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

Well I hadn't thought of that as a problem........Smurphswillgetya wrote:Maybe I will try and get myself lost outside the ground and start crying so they can kiss me better and take me to the correct turnstile.

Can't see them wandering around in those outfits when it's snowing

Not the most PC person in the world but some of the comments above are a bit Rolf Harris (allegedly) for my taste.

I suppose it's balance for the comments about players' bums you hear from the Crumbie gals (incluidng Mrs G although she did also have a thing about Census Johnsons calves).

What about more mature female members? It is discrimination. Why can't we have a couple of fit, young men dressed as Tarzan to help us??

Looking at the kit I think you're more likely to get Don Estelle.Littletigress wrote:What about more mature female members? It is discrimination. Why can't we have a couple of fit, young men dressed as Tarzan to help us??
I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

Re: Fair game or sexism?
How about a few (say 15) fit young(ish) men in tight and scant clothing who have spent hours in a gym honing their bodies who then vent a lot of their testosterone in a competetive arena for all to see? Come to think of it, that sound a bit like a game of Premiership rugby. See JG's comments about Mrs JG and props, or any bloke's wife at a rugby game. Mrs GS goes all gooey at the mere mention of...... well, that would be tellingLittletigress wrote:What about more mature female members? It is discrimination. Last week I commented about how Giraldini had spotted YBY's looking at the chance of a try and moved from 1st receiver to supporting player to help YBY over the line. Mrs GS thought he looked quite sexy. On the third replay she could see what I meant.
There, pick the sexist bones out of that one.
I'm the one with the tin hat on, head down and tongue firmly in my cheek.

Re: Fair game or sexism?
The pivotal moment for me was a couple of seasons ago when 12T had a kick from the Crumbie touchline and his bum was about 5 feet from the front row girls as he lined the kick up. The silence was deafening until he took the kick - then the gasping for breath, murmurs of Whoarr and so on were very revealing.
Mrs G turned to the lady next to her and said "Do you think he waxes?"

Yes this idea is old fashioned and sexist.
This is a stewarding job and there is no need for girlies. I note that there are no women on the Board of Directors despite the gender balance of the crowd.
