Fair game or sexism?
Why no men or older people in Tigers gamekeepers? Nice girls but horribly sexist and ageist.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Re: Fair game or sexism?
Bill should be happy, this is as close to cheerleaders as we have got!
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.
Re: Fair game or sexism?
For J Griff. Speak for yourself as an older man I would far look at and engage with a lot of beautiful young girls than a bunch of OAPs. I find my generation very distressing.
Re: Fair game or sexism?
Excuse the ignorance but where would I find a 'Tigers Gamekeeper'?
Life can be unpredictable, so eat your pudding first!

A number of Ladies will be either in or around the ground dressed in jungle garb like from in "it ain't half hot mum"Noggs wrote:Excuse the ignorance but where would I find a 'Tigers Gamekeeper'?
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Do they do anything or are they merely decorative?

Re: Fair game or sexism?
Given the article posted by Sapajo, there is nothing ageist or sexist about the concept of a group of people making themselves available at matches to help others.
Re: Fair game or sexism?
Bet they cannot help when it comes to sorting out a pint of beer or getting a burger!
Re: Fair game or sexism?
I would be perfectly happy to be helped by a more mature woman or two - can think of several Tigers fans just don't let Mrs G know.
Posted it as I thought the absence of males or older people rather gave it the 'trolley dolly' ambience.

Re: Fair game or sexism?
Yes it is sexist and very untraditional, and unnecessary, but I suppose us women have the players to gawp at... Come on Tigers
Re: Fair game or sexism?
To quote from the caption under the picture heading the article 'Games Keepers can answer your queries on Tigers matchdays'. I'm guessing JG's query would be along the lines of 'Is your mother here?'
'Bet they cannot help when it comes to sorting out a pint of beer or getting a burger!'

Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.
Re: Fair game or sexism?
Of course this is sexist (against men) and ageist (against old people) and the problem is what exactly?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
