significant absentees
Already we are seeing significant absentees:
Ed Slater
Anthony Allen
Louis Deacon
Miles Benjamin
Gonzalo Camacho
Dan Cole
Scott Hamilton
Pablo Matera
Geoff Parling
Laurence Pearce
Michele Rizzo
Adam Thompstone
Brad Thorn
Marcos Ayerza
Now it doesn't say whether all are injuries, some are international but this is nearly a very decent team.
1. Ayerza 2 3. Cole 4.Thorn 5. Parling 6. Slater 7. Matera 8. Pearce 9. 10. 11. Benjamin 12. Allen 13. Thompstone 14. Camacho 15. Hamilton
and when you look at the team we are fielding then I feel we may well have the best tigers "Squad" we have had in the last 10 years at least.

Re: significant absentees
Put Hepetema @ 13 and Thompstone to 11.
Also lets convert Rizzo to Hooker.

Out of those names Ed, Parling, Pearce, Rizzo and Thorn should be back this month with Miles, Thompstone, Cole and possibly Comacho being back within 2 monthsphysiodan wrote:Ed Slater

Please can we have Savea as an injury dispensation, maybe Salvi can call him. I really hope we are just being cautious this week. If we were playing sarries or saints I think the team may have been different

Does Salvi know Savea?
Hepetema seems in the know with the Aus and NZ players on Twitter though.
Re: significant absentees
Looking forward to seeing the team for the weekend. I'm hoping we'll have a couple more back at least.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Geoff Parling and Tom Croft will be in the mix for the Exeter game

Re: significant absentees
Camacho was s disastrous signing. He's been injured for the best part of two seasons and as I recall only ever played in one match. His signing has also tied up much needed money from the salary cap. Don't get me wrong I feel sorry for the poor bloke because his injury is not his fault, but we do need top look lng and hard at past injury records before we sign players.

Not sure Gonzo has a history of injuries, just got a particularly bad one playing for Argentina. He hasn't played a single game for us, but we get dispensation, so it isn't a total waste. Seems to have been well involved in the community too.
Re: significant absentees
The dispensation pot has its own cap. I haven't checked but I think it's £400k which can get used up pretty quickly.Darc Tiger wrote:Not sure Gonzo has a history of injuries, just got a particularly bad one playing for Argentina. I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

Re: significant absentees
I know, but it is something at least. Its not something that can be foreseen, and the club can't be blamed for bad luck.
