Re: Nottingham V Tigers
Thanks for the update - assume no.1 is Bristow.
So assume Wells is now back - is this part of the Mafi departure? Answers on a postcard!

I think so.JerryGas wrote:Thanks for the update - assume no.1 is Bristow.

Wish I was going now.
Interesting team.
Wells would be a very good re-pick up for a Mafi replacement, has a very similar skill set.

Re: Nottingham V Tigers
End of first half Nottingham dominant with Possession and Territory.
Leicester working well around the tight areas.

Re: Nottingham V Tigers
Nottingham will be very happy! However it has given Tigers the chance to see some people and combinations in action together. Pity but let's not get too despondent.
Tigers - true Champions!

Re: Nottingham V Tigers
Croft played the whole game.
The ref was Barnes and he was somewhat inconsistent
Rhys Williams had 4 tries scored down his wing, defence was woeful, but not as much the backs as the forwards, especially the back row. Pohe was good at battering forward but no idea how well he can pass as no evidence to go on ; several huge overlaps missed by blinkered play.
Croft was switched on and got through a lot of work, Gibson hopeless and Crane was dull. The locks showed nothing worthwhile. For most of the first half Tigers were late to the breakdown. At the beginning of the second half they were better.
Balmain was chuffing a lot throughout, Pasquali has a good motor. Sio looks slightly injured but worked hard in his cameo.
Bai was a class above anyone else on the park, often looking to offload, good passing, and running rings round those almost young enough to be his kids.
An interesting run out that will have told Cockers a few things. In response to the question 'are you happy' he replied ' yes, haven't lost a game yet', said before the game.
BillW - apparently not. At least I hope not!
Very enjoyable day out.

Glad you enjoyed!
Still keeping the faith!
Re: Nottingham V Tigers
I heard Barnsey (mid game) saying to a spectator, "it's not so easy without a screen, is it?" Following a call that I think he realised he had got wrong.
Bit lax , really, but I got the impression he was happy to err on the side of the underdog.
Tigers seemed complacent and I don't think they anticipated how aggressive Nottingham's defence, particularly their line speed, was going to be.
Overall, a good day out and it was nice to see the new boys on and off the pitch.

Re: Nottingham V Tigers
Shame about the result but it doesn't matter at all, just about getting used to playing again to prepare the bodies for the season ahead.
