I watched New Zealand play Scotland this morning, and could not believe the standard of refereeing could be so bad. New Zealand were by far the better team, but did not need the help of the referee and TV official.
The fourth try was a knock on by the NZ winger, seen by the linesman, but the referee went to the TV official. He then spent 4 minutes looking at replays which, from two view, clearly showed that the NZ player knocked on the ball TWICE. It was also seen on the big screen at the ground.
The TV official then said " you can award a Try". A Scottish player can be heard to say " You must be B****y joking"
If this is the standard of the up-and-coming refs, God help us!!!
