Without wishing to delve into too much detail does anyone know the general nature of the illness?

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Family comes first.
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

Absolutely the correct course of action. Best wishes to family Youngs and wishes for a speedy recovery.

No, and I don't think there is any need to know. I look at it in my own circumstances and wouldn't like to release details of my family issues, and if I told anybody in a close circle I would expect them to keep it to themselves.

I'm sure if/as/when the family think it's anyone's business they'll release a statement, or the club will do it on their behalf maybe.

No doubt speculation will commence. :smt002

Accepted. Sometimes some basic details are given to prevent curiosity and speculation if you catch my drift. But I will say no more and I hope in due course we just hear news that she is on the mend.

All the very best wishes. The Youngs family always seem really close and that will help.

All the very best wishes for a full/speedy recovery.
I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

I agree with all the sentiments expressed in this topic regarding TY 1000%

But do the players ever come onto the forum ? do they read the comments ?

Because as far as I can tell they don't - unless they do it incognito. Which is a shame as it would nice to be able to communicate with them instead of just shouting at them (for them) at WR (or via other social media)

Not sure reading this forum would be good for some of them! Criticism given can be very cruel.

I think in such cases as this, it would be nice for a Moderator to connect with someone at the Club so as to tell Tom that many fans are wishing them both well.

You could always send a card or message to the club who will forward it on to the player concerned

I haven't spoken to many of the current squad, but in the past I've asked people like Geordan, Toby Flood, George Chuter and Martin Corry - every player I've asked stated they don't look at or read the forum as a general rule. I think Geordan's comment was that he'd rather not know! :smt002 :smt003
