Hope springs eternal!!

Even I, who aapproach perfection, occasionally type things that are capable of misinterpretation!

Other than any amount which is paid for English clubs participation in the new cup, what business is it of the Italians how much English clubs get from BT for the premiership?
I can see it's not the Italians business, but the English clubs sold the rights of Scottish and welsh teams in their home markets for the European competition as well as the English clubs. So they at least should be able to see what someone else has signed them up to without consultation.

Fine ! So let the Welsh and Scots (and the Irish) opt out of the European Competition.

We are going back 2 years! Thank you PRO 12.

So we revert to a French English Competition.

And watch whilst the PRO 12 clubs, provinces, regions go bust!

AMEN! So be it! That is clearly what they want!

I can see the concern over ERC for we have no news of their financial liabilities and their resolution. I don't see any of the Italian concerns as insurmountable; my only concern is that we are getting a situation developing where at the point of agreement some new spanner is chucked in the works, for personal/ambition/power reasons.

Glad this is settled. Eight year agreement according to the SRU. Only slight quibble is the home advantage for the playoffs should be a draw rather than allocated to the top14 and AP sides, but that's fairly minor - I'd fancy edinburgh to have a good crack at Wasps this year regardless of where it was played :smt002

Of course if the SRU get the third pro team up and running that will throw a wee spanner in the works...

Wooaaahh, hold on a minute. Just noticed there's virtually no guaranteed broadcasts of the second tier competition? Only one match between the two broadcasters guaranteed each weekend! That can't be seen as a positive can it?

Just to put you in the picture, a little something from David Moffett, former CEO of the WRU ....

David Moffett ‏@moffettrugby · 30 mins
@JohnGilheaney Fortunately the war is over and the WRU has been vanquished and hammered on all fronts its RRW Day

It will be a long long time before Roger Lewis, the CEO of WRU, comes out with anything like this again....

PS. The regions still haven't signed an agreement and won't until there's agreement that RRW can agree to. :smt038

What disarray exactly?

You don't half talk nonsense the occasional time it's intelligible.

European revenue split is agreed. Sponsorship deal is in place but couldn't be signed until the euro agreement was in place. But don't let facts get in the way of your nonsense.
