Re: the Champions Cup
Just saw someonesay that pool one isn't so much a group of death as some sort of genocide.
Re: the Champions Cup
If I am to take a positive from this, it is than each of the teams can take points off each other - we just need to find out how to win at Ravenhill
Re: the Champions Cup
Anyone got any tips about visiting Oxford for a London Welsh game?

Re: the Champions Cup
Are they in our group too?
Re: the Champions Cup
Just keep reminding them that its no longer Ravenhill - its Kingspan. That should distract them from playing!!Downsouth wrote:If I am to take a positive from this, it is than each of the teams can take points off each other - we just need to find out how to win at Ravenhill

Sky Sports news has yet to mention the draw.
Re: the Champions Cup
One ouch of a draw!! But boy will we have some cracking games!!
Re: the Champions Cup
It's good. Proper real hard games from the off for all the teams involved. And 3 from 5 second places rather than 2 from 6. This is what we wanted with no Connacht, Edinburgh or Zebre also-rans. Ten proper games each European weekend. Bring it on.

Saints, you lucky beggars
Sale and Wasps, bad luck son, better luck next year
To be fair I think all the teams in pools 4 and 5 will be fancying their chances. On balance the other 3 are much of a muchness. All pretty tough with potential whipping boys in Sharks, Wasps and Scarlets. However, as others have said this is what we wanted.

I'm sitting right next to a Sinners fan who seems quite chipper about their draw. We've upset the European rugby draw gods again!

I imagine Saints will be very chuffed - their rugby luck seems to be holding out.
Should be some cracking games, particularly in the first three groups. However, some very good teams from these groups are not going to go into the knock-out rounds.

Re: the Champions Cup
A simple test for Tigers to see where we are… can we win all of our three pool home games? Fortress WR - like the 'old days'. The other interesting element this year will be how many points the 3rd placed runner-up will need to go through.
Anyone know when the pool fixtures will be released?
